The New Zap Traps Aka The Rusher's Traps.

So the new zap traps are little teslas, and what do you do against that? You get out of range asap, of course. There is little reason to stop, continue to take damage, and look around for little orange balls. So basically.... a useless trap. The rushers got their wish. The only time this thing became trouble for me was when 2 commanders decide to play Switch tele-ping pong with me and i was stuck doing the confuse dance. So pretty much extremely rare situations. Other than that i am just running pass them.

 

I think DE should get rid of them because, really, what's the point? They should just make zap troopers that begin to drop these things once the see you and lay down a defense to protect their buddies. This would be a more inventive use for the G-tesla.

 

oh, and it's real funny that the mats they drop stay where the thing spawn cause.

Having to climb to strange locations to get that is the best.

Was this an actual complain?

This is the goofiest reason to want something taken away.

 

I hated everything about broken lights, not just how silly the idea of them were.

 

Perhaps I should have capitalized Broken Lights to make that more obvious.

Just scrap the whole idea, it's the reason why I play grineer is that there was no laser doors or turrets, just dump it or make it the same as the corpus laser doors, at least there is a mobility counter for lasers, emp doors are just plain silly,  if you're gonna have an emp door,  it should be pulling the grineer into them,  they are coated in armour,  magnets do tend to pull things into contact with them.

They fixed *some* of what we've complained about but not everything.

I was mostly fine with the lights....except for their ability to hide behind doors or overhangs in unreachable places and zap you without any way to prevent it.

Ran a few grineer missions. I had the arc traps spawning ON doors so when it opened I was zapped and had to take some damage. There still isn't a way to avoid or detect some of them so they still need to fix that part of it.

If they would fix that part of the spawning mechanics it would be better...

This whole grineer trap/broken light thing just needs to be tossed in the garbage can.  I mean now they have them looking like common resource containers sitting on the side of walls and surging electricity....LOL

 

Also, I haven't played in couple days until this morning (ran alert missions) and on infested defense on grineer tile, I literally got zapped 12 - 15 times just before I even started the mission.   I was hunting containers and before I got to 3 containers it was just buzzing all over the place....Sure you can see them easier but I feel they don't serve any good purpose at all.   I mean they didn't kill me or even put a dent in me, They wouldn't slow me down on anyh map unless I was a low level noob with no good mods and they don't add any immersion to the grineer tiles at all.....they are just down right annoying....the sound, the effect, so many of them now, so often....well I've just decided to boycott grineer maps indefinitely until these things are gone or changed to something less annoying.    So it's just infested missions and corpus maps from now on.  

 

Again, not whining about damage, bright lights or anything...I'm just annoyed at these traps because they aren't really traps, they feel like that fly buzzing around your head that just won't go away until you finally swat it with the fly swatter.

 

DE get off the idea of trying to fix grineer traps please!!!  Put more time into improving other parts of the game and working on melee 2.0, badlands and focus system and whatever other goodies you have planned....the grineer traps aren't needed....at least corpus camera's aren't annoying and serve a better purpose (laser doors and increased enemy reinforcements)...but what do grineer traps bring to the gameplay other than annoying the hell out of me?

Yeah.

DE's NICE for listening to their fanbase, but they REALLY need to realize a little more that their decisions are often BETTER in the long run then what the fanbase wants.

After the mess they made of the stamina (and several warframes) rework, I'm surprised anyone even believes this.

Having broken lights makes the grineer look dumb. Warframe is 1000 years in the future and they don't even have the technology to have normal lights.

 

You expect things not to break at all? Especially in areas that see combat frequently?

the broken lights was fantastic,  i wasnt bothered by it.

 

there were just a big sum of bad players and whiners too..

No, just players that don't want to use mod slots for shields/hp/resistances/something ONLY to survive some hard to see traps, and/or spend time looking for them.

Everyone can just stop whining for a bit and just man up. >_> The new traps are more whiner friendly and the doors are the only dangerious traps in the greneer tileset. You people need to whine about things that need to be whined about.

 

 

 

To be honest the only thing that will make you people happy is if they just buffed the greneer and got rid of all the traps. >_>
