While this is a relevant thing and pretty much it, I wanted to point out that during the naming we didn't know ANYTHING other than the fact that it threw pieces of itself at the enemy.

Granted DE knew so that's probably why the picked the name for the voting list. But in the could-have-been case that it never had the scanner to begin with then OP's point would have certainly been more valid.

Right, so it does not mean shield. Arma means weapon or weapons. Weaponry. But it does not mean shield specifically.

 

The specific name for shield is scutum.

Dunno, Carrier's Vacume could really 'clean' up 'Lines' effectively... if you know what i mean.  (psst.  Talking about drugs, lines of coke here.  Carrier is a good Vendor btw.  Don't know how he gets the stuff. but DON'T tell him i told you or he will call Dethcube and my knees might get shot in :( )
