Brimir
It looks like a shield. Regardless, it was just one example of many. No, shield is scutum. Arma means weapon. It applies to both offensive and defensive weapons. Even armour. Military equipment in general. It is the origin of the term Armament. ShadowCore67
This is all an opinion. It just seems your opinion was the minority in the voting.
RahuHordika
He was also the god that gave the gift of sight While this is a relevant thing and pretty much it, I wanted to point out that during the naming we didn't know ANYTHING other than the fact that it threw pieces of itself at the enemy. Granted DE knew so that's probably why the picked the name for the voting list. But in the could-have-been case that it never had the scanner to begin with then OP's point would have certainly been more valid.
Aaryl
Helios makes it sound/make me imagine about Arid Hellion. However, despite of naming, I must say that Helios's abilties are not so great......

The specific name for shield is scutum. Edited March 20, 2014 by Phantasmo

Brimir
Arma means weapon or weapons. Weaponry. No it does not. Arma(ment) is a term for military equipment, including armour and shields. Edited March 20, 2014 by Brimir
izzatuw
Can we name the Kubrow pet Posieden? On a more serious note, the name helios is epic, it should be a darn warframe name or something formidable not a little camera that spins... Possible names: -Clunk -Whirl -Gear -Ocura anything eye/gear related.. but Helios, cmon guys. Go-pro nuff' said, DE go fix it. :P
Cyberdown
Its not melee. It fires a projectile and pressure point doesn't effect it, since its not doing melee damage. also, name it "smacky" Also Helios is the only sentinel that I seriously suspect has a meth addiction. Dunno, Carrier's Vacume could really 'clean' up 'Lines' effectively... if you know what i mean. (psst. Talking about drugs, lines of coke here. Carrier is a good Vendor btw. Don't know how he gets the stuff. but DON'T tell him i told you or he will call Dethcube and my knees might get shot in :( ) Edited March 20, 2014 by Sibarian
Cyberdown
id quote you but the forums are not compatible with the most commonly used browser made... but have you seen the helios up close...dude is a tweaker... plus he scans the same objects over and over.... as well as constantly losing focus "starts scan" ---> "kills mobs" ----> no scan completed Carrier just kinda chills off my shoulder, occasionally nodding off and forcing me to manually pick up loot (why isn't that fixed btw?) UnworthySeraph
Let's not forget the total disregard of the Corpus naming scheme where all things end in "a". That's all I really care about. The same thing happened with Nova, makes no sense...
