Innocent_Flower
For a game that makes us play the same level 3-15 times in order to get everything from there; warframe doesn't help itself by consistently using the same tileset for bossfights. Yes. It might be a lot of effort for bosses that rely a lot on the environment like lephantis and.... well, lephantis is realy it. I just think it'd be better If we had several boss arena tilesets for each character. Ever tried to get the miter? You fight two bosses that don't realy work together, likely to get rewarded with a part you already have. The odds are far worse than frame hunting because it's not out of three. It's out of five. So you're probably going to be fighting these particular bosses twenty times before completion. It wouldn't even be that hard though. Most grineer bosses are fought in a generic underground arena. Would it be so hard to swap it with another generic arena? TL;DR and extras for making temporary bosses more fun to fight - most bosses just need more arenas to fight in They aren't unique and don't have any specific requirements in their arenas (jump or telleportation points, stage twos or destructible environments). Thus many boss-arenas are interchangeable. DE should churn out some arenas so that you're not always fighting them in the exact same area you did last time- Phorid needs a corpus arena. - Environmental things like areas to summon reinforcements or destructible items would be pretty good. - Bosses on the whole could use some new abilities. Frost shields, helion jetpacks, Long jumps.- Give bosses unique firearms. Like rapid fire napalm weapons. - alternate lighting for arenas While we're at it could we also perhaps have some more defence tilesets? Varro, earth and phobos have their own (rather nice) tilesets. All the other tilesets aren't realy that distinguishable and I'm fairly sure that the huge reactor in a grineer cave is used far too much. - More tilesets. -Defence missions that use several tilesets rather than one big one. It'd provide a lot of variety. - Arenas that change as the game progress. For example; At wave five the enemy start coming from the south as well as the east. at wave ten the enemy start using the large elevator. If the corpus tech sets up a bridge you're going to have more enemies come at you. If the grineer suicide bomber blows your defence up you're going to have a rough time. - Having to simultaneously defend multiple items at the same time might add to the game. It might be a pain in the arse. It's beta... they can fix it... possibly. -you could probably make areas look a lot different just by changing the colour filters around. Innocent_Flower
In the void, you're not fighting the same boss in the same arena, though defence missions could still use a few new tiles. I think they've lessened the evil of the void's drop rate too. Somewhat. It's still evil. Edited March 20, 2014 by Innocent_Flower
