Fedaykyn
In theory, yes. But also on the Ignis you combine elements to maximize DPS and there's no heat damage anymore. What do you think?
Vargras
I only use my Ignis against Infested. Infested take more damage from heat than from gas. So yes, I do use Accelerant with it.
Genoscythe
The accelerant - heat ignis damage combo is incredibly strong and lets WoF look like a zip lighter.

Nope gas is more effective unless you are using accelerant with it.
OnyxAlchemyst
Ignis has enough heat mods that make the heat DPS not too awfully far behind other combinations, and a good power strength build will make accelerant give something like a 5x heat damage multiplier, so it can definitely do better than other builds if done well. (PSN)natek_morzy
Accelerate is GREAT with Ignis. If I remember right it maxes out at 572% more damage with fire if you have maxed blind rage and focus. Hmm.. Now that I think about it.. If you took Ember and Ignis to ODS and hid behind Vortex with Vauban and Nekros you could really use that combo at high levels. Interesting.. Wallace24
well, you can maximize the ignis while keeping the heat damage, since it's applied last. so you could use any of the non-heat combos with it to maximize it using pretty standard mods and 4 elementals: serration, heavy cal, split chamber, firestorm, then wildfire+hellfire in the last two slots. you can have heat+corrosive, heat+magnetic, or heat+viral, using those other two slots for electric+toxic, electric+cold, or cold+toxic, respectively. that'll maximize your fire damage, and you can then combo it with accelerant for massive damage iirc, heat is only resisted by proto shields, and those are fairly rare. fire is a great general purpose element. so I'd say yes, accelerant is great to combo with heat weapons. ignis definitely, but other weapons that have a lone heat component would be alright too

Darzk
Oly time I wouldn't use it is against Grineer, because building fire prevents building Rad/Viral Very good for Ignis with one 150-180% ele combo of choice and 250% fire. Also use it for leveling weapons, especially shotguns, when mod point constrictions prevent using multiple elements.
Naftal
You should consider using something better than Ignis. Even though Ignis deals base fire damage, you can get MUCH more fire damage on weapons like Penta/Ogris or any of the best dps weapons.

I have the Ogris but not upgraded so I use it only with serration/split chamber.
