while im nt 100% sure this is the right place to post this its the best i could do. but in anycase i think there should be other ways to get your hands on platinum other than just spending money on it. as a person who has played many free to play games i have seen plenty do this right and plenty do it very very wrong. when it comes to a game that is free to play i understand that the people creating content have to ave some form of income, but a player should never feel forced to buy anything or it will ruin the whole experiance and possibly push them and many others via word of mouth away from your game. because lets face it there are things people are going to want that require platinum and some people just dont have the extra cash to use on it. now a couple ways to solve this is to put items in the shop that players can just buy right out with credits. trust me somethings we are willing to build but others we just want to buy and have we do not want to buy somthing twice. another solution is t let players exchange credtits for platinum even if its somthing like 10,000 for 10 platinum. i know i would be fine with that, it might take me a while but it would also make me more willing to buy platinum knowing i can just echange a little of my credits to make up the differance when im slightly off, instead of having to spend twice as much just so i can buy a single item. now im not trying to trash the game because i think its very well made it may have its gltches but they are minor at best and can be overlooked due to how well everything else feels in game and how commical they can be. but i would hate to see a game with such immence potential fail becaue it backed its players into a corner.

Everything in the game is farmable, other than cosmetics.  Also weapon and Warframe slots, but meh.
You can also trade to make some plat.  Technically, even plat is farmable.

 

That being said, platinum is expensive.

As someone that has never spent a dime on Warframe, I can assure you that there are plenty of ways that you can get Platinum.
I've gotten over 500 from trading with other players,and the things that go for plat are either rare and hard to come by, difficult to rank up, like 10-rank mods, or Prime parts that you have laying around.

You just have to go to trading channel and see what's in demand. It takes somewhat of an economical view to get started, but when you do, you'll be getting plat left and right!

You can use the Trade channel to sell your prime parts and blueprints, unwanted rares mods for plats, unwanted Orokin Tower keys for plats.

 

The exchange credit for platiniums is never going to happen.

 

I have nearly 2 millions credits myself and I don't run a lot of void missions, the ones that really earn money.
