Jiminez_Burial
It is a unique stealth weapon. Most melees for stealth are close range, which means you need a frame with survivability. This, or a bow (I am aware of suppressor mods, but they take up a mod slot, so are not too viable) are the only options for stealth other than the thrown secondary's. The glaive allows you to build a stealth melee set up, without have survivability mods, as you don't need to be right next to the target. It is also a very fun weapon, and with the right mods, can dice up an entire room of enemies (given either amazing planned bounces, to just pure luck) without any other enemies being alerted. Petersheikah
At the moment it is just for stealth gameplay and fun. Melee 2.0 will improve it
Shaydewalker
I played it but I prefer the kestrel which I still do about twice the damage with +guarantees knockdown on every hit
KiJokoBodo
Really good for completing Mastery Rank 9 Test.
shut
Great for stealth thanks to the lovely new 4x melee multiplier introduced with Damage 2.0. Makes stealth missions ridiculously easy, honestly. Oddly enough, though, Kestrel is a near-direct upgrade. Same base damage (the only difference being impact vs. slash), ragdoll ability on Jump/charge attacks, and it doesn't suffer from the "flight distance resets itself on bounce" glitch, meaning that, despite Glaive Prime having a faster flight speed, you'll be throwing the Kestrel much more often.
