TeflonDuck
Watch DEReb's eyes from the March 20th Devstream during the survival match.. you will see her have to shift her eyes for a noticeable time to the lower right of her screen. She was playing a Trinity. Having to look in the lower right for timers is ... not the most optimal place. I assure you if it were in a left side position the eye shift would be hardly noticeable since for most of us western writing goes from left to right, our eye patterns are trained to move from left.. to right. So the question is: Will we ever be able to mod/personalize through settings the HUD? At the very least I would like to move around the individual elements via my personal settings. So I could move the important information(to me) into the lower left or upper left portion of my screen. Here's the bottom line on this, and this is a truth: Having to look for information in an area that is naturally uncomfortable for the mind to have to search for is mentally taxing. Mental taxation can be physically taxing, which leads to exhaustion, which leads to players playing your game for a shorter period of time and the body telling the mind that "hey, I don't like to do this activity... it's work, not fun.. go do something else." So Business wise, it really is in your best interest to let the players be able to move around the individual elements. Thank you for your time, your effort and for the beautiful game that you have made and continue to create and improve upon. Thank you for listening to your players and allowing them input that has a positive impact on the game. Edited March 21, 2014 by Seazed
YourMoms
Long ago I suggester the idea for the HUD. It should be LEGO-like customizable feature and each of the HUD part should have scaling and positioning. Additionally I do not understand why they have not make the resources and mods to look different. At least for the tier. Rare - red, Uncommon - Green and Common - Yellow, Research resources already look different. Same for the mods. It's preety easy to do, I think but it'll look so much more attractive. I do not mind the blueprints and coordinates look like a sphere, but it could be much more fun if they make some interesting models for them. How about resources skin? Smth that you can purchase in market that makes different drops ingame look different. However, I went too far:) Edited March 21, 2014 by YourMoms
