Bibliothekar
Now, there seems to be a mod out there called Jagged Edge. It is said to increase melee slash damage - and to drop only from Elite Crewmen. For all I know, it is just a myth. I have lost count, how many Elite Crewmen I have killed so far, and all I got was Ripline, Ripline, erm ... Ripline, and what's that? Oh, Ripline. And some Fusion Cores buried in a pile of Riplines. Yay. I've built Nekros now and I'm ready to desecrate the everloving sh*t out of those guys - but before I waste my time, I'd like to know if my informants were correct in what they told me? (PSN)cmbailey2
It does drop. My friend got it last week off one of them. I hadn't even heard of it till he got it.
XenosInfinity
It's a rare-class mod, unfortunately, which naturally means that the mod which should be a basic part of every slash weapon build is a thousand times less common than the Ripline mod nobody needs unless they have Valkyr. Yes, it does drop from the Elite Crewmen. Make sure you're fighting the ones with flux rifles, though. You'll probably have the same issue with Sundering Strike and Heavy Trauma if you try to set up puncture or impact weapons.
OnyxAlchemyst
Yes it does drop, it's just stupidly rare. I finally got one two weeks ago, and I play this game a LOT.
Storchenbein
I have a full shipment of them... After I bought one I kept getting them, I think I got 7 of them now.
Bibliothekar
You'll probably have the same issue with Sundering Strike and Heavy Trauma if you try to set up puncture or impact weapons. I have a maxed Sundering Strike from Damage 1.0, when it was armor piercing, so one problem less. And one lucky day some time back, I got Heavy Trauma from Transmutation. Haven't seen it drop from enemies so far, though. Edited March 21, 2014 by Bibliothekar
Aure7
It should drop. I think rarer mods have more chance at dropping from higher level enemies, can someone confirm this?
Bibliothekar
Inb4 "moved to the proper section": This is the proper section, as there is no specific forum to complain about ridiculously low drop chances for vital mods.
HAR1MAU
I have 2 of them :

No, Sundering Strike and Heavy Trauma drop like candy, If you have any problems getting one of them, just ask in the trade chat, i would bet you don´t have to spend more than 1p for a heavy trauma... perhapse not even that... Jagged Edge is a whole diffrent story, its one of the last mods in this game worth more than 1p... glad there are still such mods!
Mak_Gohae
WTS Jagged Edge 7p. Or you could play invasion missions against Corpus, those things get a good amount of ECs. Edited March 21, 2014 by Mak_Gohae
Bibliothekar
Say whaaat. I just did Eleara survival on Jupiter, saw maybe a dozen Elite Crewmen over the course of half an hour, spammed Desecrate as long as there was a single drop of energy in my frame - and 'lo and behold, I finally found Jagged Edge. But honestly, DE - a physical damage mod, that 32 out of 50 melee weapons need, and you guys make it a rare drop from a rare unit? Seriously? Taranis49
It should drop. I think rarer mods have more chance at dropping from higher level enemies, can someone confirm this? From the information we have to go on, it doesn't make a difference. Enemy level having an impact on drop chances was one of the talked about features of Drops 2.0 prior to it being implemented, but checking the drop tables (back when they could be datamined) showed that enemy level didn't matter. No reason to think it's changed. Edit: And yeah, Jagged Edge drops - I managed to get one a while back during an invasion when Harvey was new.
