Best Weapons

i've been playing warframe for about a month and i still feel nooby. I was wondering what you guys believe to be the best weapons in this game like best primary, secondary, melee, and Warframe.

Do yourself a favor and don't ask this question. You will start the biggest $#!^storm imaginable. I'd recommend heading over to the wiki at http://warframe.wikia.com/ and checking things out there. It can be pretty daunting at first, but is a priceless resource in times of need.

What anyone says will be opinionated. There is no true best to everyone. Only the top tier of weapons. I rock the Dread, Marelok and a Glaive Prime on my Ash.

@DeathKoala is right, you'll start up a riot. However, let me rephrase the question for you. What do you think are the most USED and effective weapons in the game currently?

Well, for the warframe category, I believe it depends on the game mode. However, right now it is rhino prime because he is the newest prime warframe.

For primary weapon, either the Soma assault rifle, because of its high crit chance and the fact that its extremely versatile. Another viable choice would be Boltor prime, however it is extremely hard to get, and if your willing to spend plat on it i ntrading channel, you'll have to pay alot just for the blueprint.

For secondaries, this is tricky. Despair are a good chioce, however they are only obtainable by spending gobs of money, or having been touched by RNG. Another good choice, a bit easier, is the brakk. Highest dps for a secondary, but only obtainable by killing the G3. Look them up.

Finally, melee. By far the best right now would probably be orthos prime, but you might as well wait till melee 2.0 comes out to make any viable decisions. I myself prefer jat Kittag, as with only 1 potatoe and 0 forma, i can get 20-30k crits >D

So, look these up in the wiki. It also helps if you ask around in a clan.

Surely the Ankyros Primes can't be that bad, looking at their stats they seem rather decent.

Boltor Prime is a beast.  Embolist, Stug, Castanas are good secondaries.  Melee is really your preference, Dakra Prime, Orthos Prime, Galatine, Dual Ichors or Dual Zorens for coptering.

As for my favorite stuff, you'll always find me with the Dakra Prime, which is a very very solid melee weapon. For Sentinels, Carrier + Sweeper master race! For my secondary, I alternate between Twin Vipers, which are machine pistols, and the Marelok, a semiautomatic pistol with a heck of a punch better than several primary weapons. For frames, I love mobility over all else, so when I'm not leveling up frames I'm using Zephyr, Nova, or Nyx.

I'm keeping my favorite primary, the Braton Prime, separate, because it's actually seen as an underpowered weapon if anything. Looks really awesome though.

Depends who i'm up against. I'll bring something like the Sobek, Karak, Akmagnus, Twin viper and Jat Kittag against Corpus due to their high impact damage, for example.

My opinions, based on that I enough slots for any kind of weapon but preferably in the type of category.

 

Impact: Karak

Puncture weapons: Tetra, Paris Prime

Slash Weapons: Drakgoon, Dread, Soma

All rounded when modded: Drakgoon, Detron, Soma, Dread

Those are my specifically used weapons throughout my time using them, though Tetra will be replaced once the next PS4 Warframe Update comes, that way it means Boltor Prime will be the better puncture weapon. The bows are good for a silent runs, sometimes fun too. And most of the time Slash is the universal physical damage so regardless of factions, it normally means using them because they have high slash damage and chances for them to proc will likely kill them quickly.

In my honest opinion, the best weapon is the weapon you like the most.

The weapon is YOU, tenno.

Most people will probably tell you, get soma, paris prime, despair, galatine, etc.

But the best weapon is how you use even the most basic weapon to the most badass and fun weapon.

Try me, i bought dual zoren and at first i tought it's sucks real time. But when i put fire rate and crit mod, it become badass. Not to mention the zorencopter.

You can try anything, like hikou which is tought to be inferior to kunai. But, with proper mod like ammo, fire rate you spray these things like a badass.

Remember, best is fun. It's all a matter of playstyle and preference. Have fun and try things out !

If you are after numbers, this does a fairly decent job of showing you which weapons excel in each category.

First of all, its all personal preference. So for me it is:

 

Primary:

Synapse- needs many Forma, 4-6 but then it is a extremely powerful weapon that can melt anything within seconds even in highlevel Def/Surv missions

Ogris - High damage, large blast range. A very good weapon even without Formas. Just don't kill yourself.

 

Secondary:

AKBolto - very good damage, easy to get, high rate of fire and you usually don't run out of ammo with it

Castanas - good Aoe damage. Nice for Low/mediumlevel Def/Survival Missions. Lacks damage for the higher Waves, but still a good secondary

 

Melee:

too many to chose from. There are many good ones, but for me:

Galatine - very high Charge Damage, hits many enemies at once, good Jump Knockdown Range

Glaive/Kestrel - Fun to use, not really "endgame" gear but i like em a lot

Frame: Rhino, Nova

Primary : Latron Prime if you like aiming, Soma and Boltor Prime if you prefer mowing enemies down. Karak quite nice for low mastery level. xD

Secondary : Lex for pocket sniper. Despair(if you're lucky). Akbolto is quite nice too.

Melee: Glaive/Kestrel is fun. Orthos is awesome. Galatine if you like charging melee. Scoliac is also nice, it got nice damage and kinda can coptering like zorens. xD
