Zeus154
So I had played a good portion of Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes. It's a neat set-up for the Phantom Pain, for those who are interested in that type of thing, but that is beside the point. My question is: would you guys play Warframe, if it was set up similar to a tactical espionage title like MGS? To elaborate with my experience, Metal Gear Solid 5: GZ, was a neat little experience; it was intense, and kept you on your feet. Enemies surrounded all points of entry, and you had to rely on stealth/wits, or your weapon to deal with them in an admirable fashion. Depending on the weapon, you could kill or knock-out the target, and enter the next area, and progress from there. The best way was to knock everyone out, and sneak through it, without getting caught - it simply felt like the most fun, getting in and getting out undetected. But the AI is pretty top-notch in that regard. They will seek you out in suspicion, or to kill you! While Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes is pretty hyper-realistic, Warframe isn't. If this were changed similar to this, it would give a stealth player a heck of a time, as well as providing various challenges for the players (due to the "realistic" nature of the game.). So, would you still play Warframe, if the entire components were reworked? If not, suggest something interesting (stealth, powers only etc.), or just simply state why. Thanks for reading. Happy gaming to everyone!
BrotherIcarus
No I do not like that genre of game. Also as I hear wasn't MGS:5 GZ basically just an hour long demo that you had to pay for.
Noogums
I play Warframe for the Run & Gun. I prefer the agility of Ninja's to the stealth.
shut
The original teaser for Dark Sector (what was originally planned to be what is now Warframe) seemed to have a really similar vibe, and I loved it. I'd really like to see more skill and wit involved in this game. Warframe, for me, hasn't really been anything but press-this-button-for-explosion/godmode ever since I first left Venus and obtained a few mods. Too much sparkly-kaboom, not enough tactics, skill, or true challenge. The game in its current state is far too stat-based to allow for any of this. NoeleVeerod
Well, I would definitely love to try a Warframe game focusing on stealth mechanics like the ones you described from MGSV. Warframe, though, isn't a tactical espionage action game. (that doesn't mean it couldn't use some "skill and wit" stuff, it would break up the linearity of the gameplay) Yes, ninjas in Warframe are extremely agile and stealth gameplay would slow them down, but... why can't we have both? :p Edited March 22, 2014 by Vintovka

I can respect you opinion. Not everyone enjoys a certain flavor of game. I won't knock you for it. As for the hour long demo part... Yeah... It's pretty short in the variety that you can achieve. Normal difficulty (which you have to complete) ran me a little over an hour. But I didn't pay for it, so. Nonetheless, I had my hour long of fun. :p The original teaser for Dark Sector (what was originally planned to be what is now Warframe) seemed to have a really similar vibe, and I loved it. I've been somewhat burned out on Warframe. That's mostly because of the overall gameplay, in a broad sense. Just became a bit too grindy, and the gameplay felt not too meaty after a while. topfoxrider
stealth in warframe? lol. Even in capture, assassination, spy, deception, and rescue your teammates will rush to the objective with guns blazing. Any attempt at stealth will leave you several map cells behind the rest of the team as good stealth requires good patience. It'll also result in a very embarrassing score after the game. Tr1ples1xer
imo Waframe is about balls to the walls action, stealth could be a type of mission but the core game is all out WAR !
Cepmosod
Where are all the stealth junkies that whine about how Warframe isn't stealthy enough? They usually swarm topics like this.On another note, if you're a Metal Gear fan, Ground Zeroes is worth the money. It was insanely fun and a major upgrade from MGS4; and a huge incentive to buy Phantom Pain when it arrives. I like to indulge into a stealth game every now, and again, but Warframe is really not all that stealthy. I won't go and debate it, but it lacks some depth. However I am not really whining about it, more like just throwing out something interesting and hypothetical. But I can see where your interpretations lie, so... I don't blame you. :)
Habataki
Stealth gameplay is good, when you solo. Your teammates mostly gonna blow your cover, and made your stealthy effort go in vain.
SALE94
Warframe in not Stealth game. We are muttated super powered armored inter galactic units, who have abbility too bounce enemies, burn them with ignis, or blow them into bits with penta why hiding when you can blow stuff. We have more similiar features with Young Justice, Justice league and Dc or marvel then ninjas. Edited March 22, 2014 by SALE94

Such silent, much stealth. =_=)
Ritchel
devs doesnt want to copy any game, just like how they scrapped some of the things in mellee 2.0 because it was similar to devil may cri.

-CM-Tiffany
The fact that not much has been done yet when it comes to Stealth doesn't mean that Warframe isn't one. Or that it will not become one. We are still in Beta and everything is subject to MAJOR change, You can't consider it fact. As far as this goes, Yeah. I love this game and I'm pretty sure I can deal with change, if it is for the better of the game.

(PSN)fingernageldreck
Amount of work and time needed to add a fun and challenging stealth aspect to warframe would be huge... I think it would be smarter to invest in a deeper experience of what we enjoy already in warframe. SolidSp33d
You don't need to have things super realistic to have awesome stealth gameplay. Ninja stealth is often related to swift movement and agility. Basically fast paced and quick witted stealth. Ever heard of Mark of the Ninja? That's a good example. Also the Rescue game type is being reworked into a stealth gametype, in case you didn't watch the stream. The first part of it will require stealth to get to the rescue target, otherwise they will execute him or her. Only when you release them can you pass them a weapon and go loud on the way out. Also stealth in general for the game is something they are working on with small changes over time. Nothing like a big stealth 1.0 update. They are going by little things that add up, like resetting the alarms. This reworked rescue mission should certainly game with a fair amount of additions as well.
