egregiousRac
I have heard Lotus say 'You are nearing the objective!' three times so far this mission. I have yet to even leave the spawn tile. The first time was after taking two steps! I may have taken 30 minutes in this tile, but that isn't an excuse for her to repeat the same blatantly false statement three times. Edit: Total times said per tile: 1: 3 times 2: 3 times 3: 0 times 4: 1 time 5: 2 times 6: 0 times 7: 0 times 8: 1 time 9: 3 times - Objective Tile Total: 13 times Edited March 22, 2014 by egregiousRac

egregiousRac
She just said it a fourth time. I am now in the second tile. :'( The exact line is 'You are almost at the target. Keep it up.' I am running a Deception mission. Edit: Again, still in the second tile. This makes 5. Edited March 22, 2014 by egregiousRac

(PSN)MyTagForHalo
Shes just trying to make you feel like you are accomplishing something every step of the way :D Be careful, she might start complementing you for killing that Grineer that she just got done telling you about. Llyssa
I've come to see this as her polite way of telling you to HURRY THE EFF UP! "Tenno, we must save the universe! This ship must be diverted off course ASAP!" Then we stop to loot and explore and she's all "You're nearing the objective" as she has to re-calculate the new ship course. So we're busy messing with crates and shooting lights, and the other 8 ships in the convoy are already on their way into a nearby star, but ours is still clearly heading to attack civilians. So she says it again "You're almost there, keep going" and now we've stopped to discuss the moral implications of sno cones, and there's people dying outside as the ship shoots things, but she has to keep her cool, "You're nearing the objective!"... It goes on some time like this, and eventually, we divert the ship, she tells us we did a "good job" in her least-sarcastic voice, marks extraction, and then leaves us alone for the rest of the mission. It's far more "leader of calmness" than anything else, and most notably, she doesn't actually say "you're nearing the objective" when you're actually making mission progress or, in fact, nearing the objective. It's only encouragement she gives you when you are not progressing. Now, whether or not that's intentional, that ends up being the way it comes out: It's her trying to tell us "get.over.to.the.obj.NOW" without inspiring rebelliousness in us. Kachocalvo
I'd like to hear Lotus saying "MOVE, you lazy &#!!" when we go on exploration for crates or not make any progress... Edited March 24, 2014 by Kachocalvo

I wonder how many innocents I have gotten killed in doing these runs since I sometimes take as much as three hours on a single mission... I'd like to hear Lotus saying "MOVE, you lazy &#!!" when we go on exploration for crates or not make any progress... I would much prefer that she berate me when I am being slow instead of saying things that are blatant lies. It could add some humor to her dialogue. HoodyNynja
Are her comments supposed to mean something??? I always assumed they were random, with a few exceptions, like her saying heavy units are approaching on Exterminate missions with no enemies left. Not to mention her "I suspected this might happen" during a survival mission. I always think, yeah, I KNEW it was going to happen before I landed on the planet, catch up already. Tsoe
just like when she say heavy unit is aproaching... in a defense mission before activating the mission itself -_-
Alighierian
not to mention her 'timely' noting that hell is freezing over or the ship is one step away from burning down *half-way through the mission*: "Be carefull, tenno. The cryo generators are malfunctioning. Your shields will take a hit."

It's only encouragement she gives you when you are not progressing. The way I always interpret it is not so much a leader of calmness but that the Tenno, despite being merciless death machines by nature are still a bit amnesiac and can have trouble grasping concepts that don't invovle eviscerating something. So Lotus stays patient and offers positive support whenever we start figuring the objective out. Really I see us like big adorable space-ninja puppies to her. This would lead to her saying it over and over.

This would lead to her saying it over and over. I've had this while running in completely the opposite direction to the objective and exploring side rooms.
