So, after a long night on Chatframe I decided to make try and take my 'Frames and make the most ridiculous monstrosities possible out of them. First was Nova, and my initial thought was "How could I build Nova without M-Prime?" I thought this would be teeth-grindingly hard to play without a Potato, but it was not only easy, but effective and fun.
I'm sure some others have done this before, but...
-Note that this T2 Survival had 4 Novas in it, including myself, all of which were using Molecular Prime and similar weapons to mine (I had a Paris Prime crit-built and Potato'd, for those sexy 200k Antimatter Drops). We decided to leave after 60 minutes when Grineer Gunners started one-shotting us.
Playstyle: Probably the most important factor of this build is how you play Nova. With this, and a good, high-damage weapon, you can be spitting out multiple Antimatter Drops dealing 50k+ damage each, sufficient to one-shot most bosses and hordes of enemies up to 90+minute T3 Defense. Each antimatter drop will only cost 20 Energy, 12.5 if you decide to chuck Streamline in there.
You'll also notice I don't have a Redirection on there, which most *normal* Novas have. It isn't really necessary if you're playing her right, because Antimatter Drop is technically speaking an indirect-fire ability with effectively infinite range, you can treat yourself as a walking physics-defying artillery piece, and just sit behind cover in the event that you are faced with walls of enemy fire. Now, this is where Wormhole comes in - it costs more than Antimatter drop, but not much more, only at 30 with this particular build. You use it to get into a group of enemies, Antimatter them, and get out before you die. You are the definition of a glass cannon, except you have a teleport and you are smart enough to use cover, so it doesn't matter.
The only occasion where this build really encounters issues is on high-level Grineer, where there is more hitscan and AoE then there are Novas in Warframe. On this occasion I would take Redirection. Again, Cover is still your best friend, it's just less useful than before. Lag is also your best friend now. For occasions like... Say, Palus Pluto, I decided I'd hop on WarframeBuilder and figure out something of an idealized build:
You'll notice that this one does have Molecular Prime in it, but mind you that with -60% Power Strength it's more for the 2x damage multiplier and the -50% to enemy damage and speed than the chain reaction. You can replace Redirection, Stretch and Flow with really whatever you want, I originally had Thief's Wit and Master Thief in there but I know people would yell at me for that.
