New Old Player Needs Some Suggestions

Hai!

 

Been part of the beta test group since god knows for how long. I'm a player who plays games casually meaning that sometimes I quit playing games completely and once I start again I keep playing games like I'd be a pro gamer. That said, I've been gone for about a year or even more.

 

Now I've collected some nice weapons, nothing über like Penta, Orgris, Soma or any of the prime ones. I have a catalyst and formaed my boltor once and I really love it. Still missing the Sherd mod to be able to get even more out of it. Anyways, I recently got my hands to another catalys bp and having kinda hard time to figure out where to put it. :(

 

Got Grataka, Dread(not sure if I like bows), Afuris, Twin Vipers, Orthos, Vasto, Sobek and Dragkoon. I main Oberon now and really like the looks of it and my primary is obiviously boltor(getting the scifi elf looking gun out of it). I really love my Afuris but not sure if it will be anything usefull vs harder enemies even with catalyst and some formas, but then again, I've never been that much after the most effective items. I'm more like "the looks" guy and Afuris is the greatest looking sidearm in the game. Dread would suit the looks of the Oberon really well, but I kinda hesitate to put catalyst on it since I really love my boltor now. 

 

My question is that should I put my precious catalyst on Afuris or some other sidearm I have or even on Orthos? Is Afuris going to cut it vs T3 kind of enemies if properly modded? Can Boltor and Afuris carry me enough so I'll be able to farm prime stuff on my own if must?

 

I might put some €'s on the table later on and get me some plat again, but not sure if I really should atm because mortage and marriage. ;)

There are the new akstiletos that has a similar use to the afuris and they are stronger, so maybe put yar potato on that, and ad for primeries there is a boltor prime now, and you won't belive it, it has 54 damage, and its really amazing, for melee orthos would be alright, but just so you'd know melee 2.0 should come soon and buff all melees a great deal

dread can proc up to what I've seen 60k... It's pretty much amazing. Modding it will take a bit of an investment. Boltor Prime is pretty intense.Farm a brakk and don't look back.... lulululu

Dread or Grakata are the only ones there worthy of a potato, and grak is more of a proc chance utility rifle, not dmg, and Dread is a bow and as you said you might not like using it.

 

I'd say hold onto the potato for now till you get something top tier.

Ya probably gonna put it on Dread if anything. So far it just looks like these items are rather rare to get from alerts so I was not sure if I want to waste it on some item which defenately loses its effectiveness when difficulty rises past certain point. Been planing to buy plat and increase the weapon and frame slots so I wouldn't have to sell items that much. Thanks for the advices guys.
