Helmet Stats Solution

Every helmet should have a special mod slot, not unlike warframe aura's. And in each of those slots a mod could be equipped.

 

Example: What was previously Ash Scorpion helmet stats; +25% Stamina Max -5% Power Efficiency, now is a special

"Ash Helmet Mod" offering these same stats.

This way a player could have this mod equipped on normal Ash helmet, Locust helmet, Scorpio helmet, Ash Prime helmet etc...

It would retain personal cosmetic feel for the player without sacrificing stats.

 

-note: Only existing helmets stats will be transferred into mods and only for those frames that were originally designed for.

Example: Banshee Reverb helmet mod +10% Energy Max -5% Health Max could not be used on any other frames except Banshee.

 

Of course in the future updates DE could release more of these mods for different frames.

Or we add a Costume helmet slot. Then EVERYONE WINS.

 

They could add stats to helmets and it wouldn't make a difference.

 

Costume helmet slot: The helmet in this slot is what your warframe helmet will look like, takes priority over normal helmet slot for appearance, no stats added.

 

Normal helmet slot: The helmet in this slot will add the stats of the helmet, this helmet will be shown if there is no helmet equipped in the costume slot.

 

This would be a much much better solution. Everyone would be able to look the way they want and and use helmets stats if they so choose.

Sounds good and i support it.

 

 

But there is one thing you guys keep forgetting. DE would need to create mod slots, mods, proper balance. It is easier for them to remove stats and give us half asses bandaid solution for helmets.

 

 

I know that i will turn my helmets statless, because i dont ever care much about stats. But i do hate having nice looking helm with crappy stats.

DE already stated in the last live stream that they're going to remove the helmets with stats for a time; meaning if you don't have them by that time, you will not get them again. This applies to helmets like Gauss and Coil Mag helms, the Rhino helmets and the other few that have stats, they others that came out with no stats will be left alone. But, if you already have said whatever helmets that have stats, then you will get to keep them.


Now some time after that, these 'stat helmets' will come back, though they will be stripped of their stats and be just cosmetic only. For those of us who still have these 'original' stat helmets, we will all get blueprints for the statless versions. IF, note that I say if, we so chose to build these said blueprints, they will automatically destroy the stat version of whatever helmet you are building from the blueprint. 

So if you want to keep your stat helmets, do NOT build the statless version from its blueprints when that day does come.

Is it easier removing content, yes. Its fair game atm since new players CAN earn and purchase them if they decide to. MR 10+ and experienced players including founders already or or are close to obtaining them all. Only problem I see is in conclave PvP where stats and numbers are in the players hand. However these ideas presented are better solutions making the game fun and challenging in both PvP n PvE matches.

Mods or simple points added to specific cosmetics are were interesting when this began. I have to watch Devstream again they mentioned something about helmets there.

It might be easier for DE to give us "half asses bandaid solution for helmets," as you stated, but I feel that's the wrong approach. I for one love helmet stats and I feel that instead of simply removing mechanic that has potential they should rather work on it and turn it into something better.

How about play the game as it is.

 

This is clearly the answer. Not that the devs have been talking about doing this or that input should be given. Just... Just play the game as it is guys. Nothing ever needs to change. Change is scary anyway. Let's scrap melee 2.0 while we're at it. I'd say revert most of the last updates, but.. the game is like that already and we should play the game as it is. Yeah. Yup.

I'd love to see more customization add, either in the form of slapping our own personalized Warframe-specific boons on a hat or on hats for our weapons in the forms of unique skins/models for firearms like the Manticore.

 

They'd make for more sane and enjoyable monthly/weekly Tenno Reinforcements than having DE struggle and sweat to make entirely new weapons/frames so often and balance those. Smaller, saner customization or even just stylistic changes that affect the feel but not so much the numbers on frames/weapons would be just as nice.

^^ I play this game a lot more than COD and mainstream games^^

This is their job and its ours to 'beta' and give them feedback which includes positive things but also negative. This way good things will remain unchanged and bad things will slowly get better. I'm new to the forums and community but I've had numerous play time to give my feedback and all of you as well.

Fortunately DE is one of those devs that actually addresses and works on the game continually. I join other forums such as gamefaqs and n4g and the community is very active and mature compared to most' gaming forums and communities.. I dont see devstreams and giveways especially for a FTP game its awesome. Anyways tenno nice to see the comments rolling along.

Or we could expand on that and simply get rid of the restriction, having a helmet mod slot that does not take away points from your mod pool and you can choose, let's say, Locust Ash helmet having +duration -health or Thrak Rhino helmet having +efficiency -armor, etc etc... I think that would make a majority of players happy. 

Not to mention the fact that that very suggestion has been thrown on these forums so many times that I'm honestly considering DE to be shooting themselves in the foot with their current decision, due to the popularity of that general idea.

It's better not to segregate the community into the haves and the have-nots.  Giving veteran players Nyx with Vespa, Loki with Swindle, Mag with Coil, or Rhino with Vanguard, etc. and never allowing new players to gain these benefits would create a huge disadvantage for these players.

 

If anything adding a helmet-only mod next to the aura slot would be viable.  This helmet mod could work like corrupted mods and provide a benefit to one or more stats while reducing one or more other stats.  Each helmet slot would probably be warframe specific so DE could further dilute the drop tables.

 

To be fair, I see no issue with helmet stats other than some being grossly overpowered compared to others.  If DE just balanced these helmet stats and made each viable then there would be no issue.  Heck, the starting helmets could even provide a fixed health and shield bonus with no negative effect.

That's exactly how I feel on this matter. I believe that player pool segregation is the worst possible direction they can take concerning this helmets.

My point of view

 

1.Location on the game menu map

Helmet bar to apear on top before the Warframe bar,when you press the mod menu can apear.

 

2.This mod slots should equip only oxium or other artifact that will change stats(please check Marvel heroes alliance facebook game and iso slots)

 

3.This artifacts should have experience bar and level cap of 30

I figured they could turn the stat changes from the helmets into a Systems item.  I mean, we can already change our helmet and chassis, so why not let us change up our Warframe's systems as well?  It makes a lot more sense than a helmet changing how a warframe functions.  But the problem with that solution is now you have even MORE things to try and find and they'd probably get tossed into the Alert system so that gets even more diluted than it already is. 

 

Costume helmet slot seems like the best idea out of all of them.  No need for new items and everyone's happy because you can put on one helmet for looks and another for stats.  The question then becomes if they'll end up giving the newer helmets stats or if they'll all remain statless forever.

I 100% agree with this except dont have a special mod for Ash that does what the old helmet has. Just have a few universal cards that fit in ALL helmet aura spots such as +25% Health -15% stamina, and allow that card to be put on any helmet in the game. 

I actually like this, it simplifies my proposal and it makes sense. +1
