Current Icons Are Useless In Distinguishing Who's Who. Helmet Icons.

So i'm playing oberon or ember prime or trinity and the little icon next to me is an excalibur. 

 

two of the guys I'm with are Excalibur. 

Two are using Excalibur icons. 

 

 

It's a little confusing. Not game-breaking level of confusing but to some extent it impeedes teamwork and you tend to forget who you're playing with when the game ends. I play with clanmembers but for the most part it's pubs; I don't have any regular friends on warframe. 

 

Furthermore; I'm rank Nine and, should i get enough plat for a different icon, it'd go straight to weapon slots or frame slots. (maybe the twilight pack of zephyr should i ever get a 70% off) 

 

 

 

 

 

It's not an awful system we have now but It's not very good either and I think the game could only get better by changing it. 

 

I think we should get instead a simple icon of each player's helmet, coloured with the same colours (taken directly from the colour pallets) With a simplistic style. That emblem would obviously change with helmet and colour choice.

I feel the current system is fine there is no real reason to have to know at a moments notice what warframe the other people are playing as, the only info you need to know about the other players is there total health and shields and there current health and shields.

Oh I've been wanting to say this forever, why not both? Just have an option in the settings to change it since it's such a small client side change

This is something ive seen mentioned alot and i wish they would implement, atleast in some form. Even if they dont replace the avatar icon (which personally i would prefer) we need some HUD indication of what frames the other people on the team are using because it would be so much more useful and convenient.

I disagree, oftentimes as a Nekros I need to look for the Nova player and stick with her so that I can actually have time to desecrate the MPrime'd bodies. It's difficult to tell who is who at the moment, especially when you're in a high level survival and all the blue icons look the same.

I was just about to post about this.  These icons don't really mean anything, and can be confusing while in mission.  I'm sure that if people are going to complain about platinum, it'd be easy enough to just make a script to refund platinum based on what icons you have.  These are only obtainable with platinum after all.
