yarash2110
so there is end-game in warframe but not a lot of people play it, high waves defense mission and long survival runs, so i thought to maybe do a weekly competition, not a big one thats announced on the site and everything but just a small one. it would play out as a week long alert, thats either a defense or survival mission, with scores on the profile like any event, but they would not be kept, and the team that would have the highest wave/ time would win something, maybe plat, or maybe to make it a lot more desirable and played make it some kind of a weapon that being in the 50 or 100 top gets you a part, thats tractable, im just throwing ideas here but i think it would make the game a lot more active and competitive, not in the short run, in terms of getting the most kills in the squad but just having a great team-work and power. i thought about another thing that would change the idea for a bit, it is not a must in this idea but i thought that maybe if a few groups would have the same amount of waves/ time and kills the top would be whoever has their kills divided by the players the most, for example 5 waves, with 400 kills, one group has the kills like this: 30, 100, 250, 100 and the other 100, 100, 100, 100 the second group would win, and another way to decide would be that the smaller group would always win even if the bigger one had more kills, if they got to the same wave or minutes the smaller group had more challenge, so it is the winner. thanks for reading and please write your opinion in the comments. Llyssa
...so the idea is to get more people glued to 1 mission for 10 hours on end and have them whine when their efforts are worthless? er... no.

Llyssa
I didn't say it would be "must do". I'm saying that, by your design, if I want this mini-event thing, and I spend 10 hours in a match for survival, and 100 other groups spend 11 hours, I get NOTHING for my efforts. I would then, if I wish to score something, need to spend over 11 hours, which would then bump some other person off the top 100 list. Nobody is going to appreciate that, and it would make for very unhealthy gaming, and produce a high rate of player burn-out.

DocHolliday13
Any kind of competition between players that is primarly about how much time is spent by the players is inherently a bad competition. Inherently, objectively, bad. It's one of the few ways video games can literally kill players: through sleep deprivation. There are no winners in such a competition. Ever. Ketec
If you make a game competitive in between players - the P2W component comes into play with cash shop. As long as there is no direct competition with rewards there is no p2w. With rewards, any random players with all the boosts, maxed mods bought for plat, perfectly formed frame and potato is just a matter of a few days.VS someone whos not a veteran, but still plays every day - it might take him a month to get close to that. CandyDragon
So tether individual rewards to the overall workings of a group. Yeah, thats not gonna work. Its a terrible idea, and more or less micro scales the existing flaws within clan competition within the current "event" rewards. See: Tethras Doom Gradivus Dillemma. It promotes min maxing and cannibalization of a player base. This is a terrible suggestion if only for the fact that in the long run its a detriment to the community. Davoodoo
So you want to make competition of who can exploit system the most, gl with that... Game will never be hard when you can keep snow globe or blessing permamently and nothing will change it. Im afraid that you dont even know what difficulty really is.
