Need Advice For Oberon Builds

Question

This is what I have for a damage build.

This is what I'm planning to use end end game where I can spam heals that are quick.

I'm sure these can both be improved and with less formas, but I could be wrong. Any advice is helpful.

First build, you're kinda contradicting the "damage" part by having overextended there.. Sure it gives you range but just destroys the damage output. Stretch alone makes the range moderate, just slap redirection over it and go in there to wreck stuff.

2nd build, eh, I never really found the point in duration mods unless you're going to use the ground aoe. Just stick with the first one and alter overextended to something that actually doesn't cripple you for some range boost.

But how much more damage do I do with all the extra range? Maybe if it were a small map it'd be useless, but the other times I think it'd beneficial wouldn't it?

I thought the 10 sec difference might save people.

I'd say remove blind rage from the second build, in higher levels the use full part of reckoning is the knockdown, not the damage.

BR was for the higher heals

For your damage build, drop Overextended for Quick Thinking or Redirection. My personal preference is to use Redirection instead of Vitality but that's up to you.

Also as others pointed out, change two of your = poles to - or neutral poles. Neutral will probably be better so you can swap out mods a little more freely.

Oberon has the highest damage Ult of any frame with one of the fastest cast times. A damage build for him will be based solely around his fast nuke, so you may end up using it multiple times in quick succession anyways. The range isn't all too necessary taking that into account.

You could also find a way to sneak a Natural Talent in there to make it even faster. Personally, I would even consider replacing Stretch with NT.
