pattonsguy
I was escaping a survival mission on Ceres solo when life support cut out at 29:99 which itself is a fail. Using my rush built nova I managed to make it to the extraction point with minimal health remaining. When suddenly, one of those buggers went off and showed me that the keys and mutation mods I earned were worth nothing.

Which is why you need to work as a team a lot more to keep life support up longer. Does nobody once think of true teamwork anymore in Warframe? Llyssa
Of note, these are one-spawn items, so if you're doing solo survival, you should probably clear the path to extraction of them ASAP, rather than hoping there's 0 when you're in desperate need of an escape. Eyeless
Which is why you need to work as a team a lot more to keep life support up longer. Does nobody once think of true teamwork anymore in Warframe? Most squads I end up with just run around the entire godamn map while I make steady routes to and from pods... Wallace24
I think the last tile in survival missions (I noticed it in the galleon, like this one appears to be) shouldn't have any of the arc traps. if you don't have a trinity in your squad, these traps will most likely take out your entire team if you run out of oxygen

liavalenth
I agree they should be removed from survival, but I do not have a problem with their mere existance.
Llyssa
I think the last tile in survival missions (I noticed it in the galleon, like this one appears to be) shouldn't have any of the arc traps. if you don't have a trinity in your squad, these traps will most likely take out your entire team if you run out of oxygen But they don't respawn. They're like containers(in fact, technically, they are containers. Very unpleasant ones!) You can kill every single one in the map as soon as the 5 minute mark hits. There's NO reason you should be waiting until do-or-die extraction time to make the path clear. Edited March 24, 2014 by Llyssa

bobingabout
My problem isn't with traps on the exit, you can still shoot that thing without a problem. the problem is when they place the traps on the back of a grineer locker, for some reason it can still shoot you, but because it's on the back of the locker, you can't shoot it. or behind a pipe, where it can shoot you and you can't shoot it. There was also the ones on the starting platform, where you'd be dead before the entering video had finished playing, but thankfully they removed those. Recel
What I always find strange when this topic about the traps comes up, is there are always people saying "It hit me on the way while rushing to extraction after lifesupport cut out!". And I think to my self "Why did you only start moving after it droped to 0%?". When it's at 20% I take a good look around. Am I near a pod? Can I reach it in time? If yes, I rush to the pod. If no, I rush to the extraction, so I can get there and deal with things on the way before my shield and health start ticking away. Even if you're occupied with shooting, Lotus will kindly remind you that you hit the mark. I don't take teammates in consideration at this time, because if they are with me than the anwser is the same for all of us. And if they are running around playing hide and seek with Grineer rollers, I won't wait to find out if they are actually looking at the oxigen-o-meter at all! And suddenly these traps become mostly a trivial thing, unless they are placed wierdly like Bobingabout said. But even than you will have the shield and health to run past them if nothing else.
