Idea: Prime Vault

So I got a simple idea for how to get prime parts and it's an idea inspired by the Orokin Derelict Vaults. I'm thinking of either one big vault, or four small ones, dotted across the maps when you go into the Void. You have to make a special key to open the vault and inside the vault you get a prime part. Specifically a prime part. You do the rest of the mission for the resources, or forma.

The idea is to separate the prime gear from the credits and resources, while also keeping them both in the void. Now for specifics, I see the vault working a couple of ways.

First, it could work just like the ODV, it randomly picks a key and one of you has to have it to open the vault. The keys have to be crafted, and will most likely have no debuffs(In my opinion at least.)

Second, Take the first idea and add on that if all four keys are used to open it, you get better/more rewards.

Third, One mini vault of each key semi hidden in the void, basically a large crate that spawns in a room somewhere and you have to have the right key to open it.

The trade off for this system vs the current is that A: No more going in and getting resources instead of prime parts and B: It's an over all smaller pool, thus increasing your chances of getting one of the parts you need.

Problem I see is reliance to play multiplayer, due to Strict NAT I cannot host, luckily however I'm at the late game so I can solo stuff.

That's not the case for many players however.

Derelicts are a pain to me. Especially with the keys. With this I normally give a comrade a key and let him host it.

IMO they just need to actually put the secret areas to use. I'm very sure the designs for the Parkour challenges and secret rooms in the Void had some thought put into it, yet it barely rewards the player when achieved, thus nobody really bothers.

They should just leave rare loot in unique containers at the end of puzzles like these. A simple solution that rewards both exploration and skill without messing with regular gameplay.

Also allows multiple prime parts/forma to be in the same mission IF the player puts in the time and effort to get them, though keys would have to be more difficult to obtain to balance this out.

I like it.

No developer can make content as fast as people consume it. Some people call it 'GRIND' but they need to get X playtime for Y detime or their business model just doesn't work. The problem right now, in my eyes, is not that we have to run a lot of missions but rather that we have to run THE SAME mission over and over again until we get the thing we want.

IMO, void drop/reward tables should be resources / Forma and ideas like this one are the way to do prime parts. Rare mobs/invasions that drop prime parts. Vaults with prime parts inside. Prime parts at the ends of those parkour courses. etc. etc.

This does two things.

1) It adds variety so people don't have to grind what they don't want to play.

2) It adds control and creates sub goals. If you are only prepared with one key, and don't have a mark for an invader, and don't have the skills to parkour, your chances of getting prime parts would be very very low. You can go get a group to bring more keys just like OD to effectively get you more rolls on the table. You can get marked for an invader that drops prime parts so there's a roll on that table as well. You can work up your skills and eventually start getting into parkour rooms...  You're not just stuck looking at a 0.X% chance of getting what you want. You have lots of ways to control it and improve your own odds.

Ah~ This~ I remember those rooms. Yeah, if they are put to actual use, such as...if you complete the courses you get to the final room and it has a prime BP you can pick up or something, that would certainly work as well.

Exactly. I mean for boss runs, such as farming Ruk for Ember, it makes some sense that you have to do the mission a few times to get all the parts, but for the void, for mobs to drop BP's would be delightful, or by having those parkour rooms and/or the prime vaults to provide alternate/multiple ways to get the prime parts IN the mission, beyond just...grinding the mission to the end and getting your random reward.

I mean, this appears to be a...quicker fix than what ever is being done now with slight tweaks to the drop tables, which I might add has resulted in the latron prime receiver being the number one item gotten in t3 survival. I mean jesus...I have 16 of the dang things, I've ran T3 survival up to 50 minutes twice today and all I got was...credits, latron prime receiver, and a orokin cell each time...its...it's kinda pathetic.
