Pc Players: How Often Do You Use Mics As Opposed To Us On Ps4?

Chatting on PS4 is extremely easy. Especially when we have a simple party feature which we can invite anyone into if we want.

Plus everyone was given a mic with their PS4 and some have a headset from their PS3.

So. Do you PC players use mics a lot? Will I expect a lot of silent players when Sony finally allows the servers to join?

I have a good headset with a mic, but i play with voice chat OFF and don't like going to raidcall, teamspeak and apps like that. I prefer to play listening to loud music, concentrated on the game. I prefer to text chat.

PC has extra layers of difference in volume at the OS level and input/output software level that make it a lot more common for people to argue over volume. It's usually not worth the trouble unless you are with a group of regulars who can all adjust once and save it (vs PUGs) or if you're in a one way scenario, like doing a stream where the audience all adjusts to the streamer.

I haven't used a mic in years, except to stream.

Honestly it depends on the situation. It could be bad if what you are doing depends on a lot of team work and co-operation.

Well I'm assuming most PC players are fast at typing so it shouldn't really matter. Edited by CosmoKnight

Sadly the only thing that requires teamwork and co-operation is getting 4 friends into a game without a failed to join error

I just use the text chat, since the only mic I have is my laptop's built-in. I doubt anyone wants to try to understand me through the roar of my fans desperately trying to keep my computer from melting. Not to mention having to hold a button to talk is stupid inconvenient.
