(PSN)natek_morzy
Chatting on PS4 is extremely easy. Especially when we have a simple party feature which we can invite anyone into if we want. Plus everyone was given a mic with their PS4 and some have a headset from their PS3. So. Do you PC players use mics a lot? Will I expect a lot of silent players when Sony finally allows the servers to join? JerZeyCJ
I think PC is mainly text.
RoboDoge
Never used it, because my headset is broken. And i dont wanna hear heavy breathing and crying over the mics.
Renathy
I don't think a lot of people use voice-chat in most games.

Coren024
I don't think I have ever used the in-game voice chat in the 6 months I've been playing. And in that time I think I've only ever heard one person using it.
Killist
I only use it when I breath through my mouth and need to express my honest opinions on fellow players
kaboomonme
Almost never, to be honest. Feels more in sync with the way the Tenno act anyways, being silent protagonists and all.
(PSN)natek_morzy
DAMN! That sucks. I am always in a party chat with my friends on PS4. Yikes. Talking with randoms usually isn't that bad. Most of the time the people I meet are adults.
Kloaked
A lot of people have crappy mics (it's not a big deal, so no offense to anyone) and in-game voice chat doesn't make it any better, so I turn voice chat completely off. I stick to an actual VOIP.
GreyEnneract
99.9% of the time I don't use it.

Lol I've had my fill of silent characters. Link is still on the top for being COMPLETELY silent.

(PSN)natek_morzy
Hell most friends on my Warframe friend list have talked with me at least a few times. My friend even talked with [DE]Rebecca in a public game for crying out loud!
.Talia.
I have a good headset with a mic, but i play with voice chat OFF and don't like going to raidcall, teamspeak and apps like that. I prefer to play listening to loud music, concentrated on the game. I prefer to text chat.
CosmoKnight
natek, you make it seem like it's a bad thing that we don't use mics. Edited March 24, 2014 by CosmoKnight
VKhaun
PC has extra layers of difference in volume at the OS level and input/output software level that make it a lot more common for people to argue over volume. It's usually not worth the trouble unless you are with a group of regulars who can all adjust once and save it (vs PUGs) or if you're in a one way scenario, like doing a stream where the audience all adjusts to the streamer. I haven't used a mic in years, except to stream.
(PSN)natek_morzy
natek, you make it seem like it's a bad thing. Honestly it depends on the situation. It could be bad if what you are doing depends on a lot of team work and co-operation.

Sadly the only thing that requires teamwork and co-operation is getting 4 friends into a game without a failed to join error Edited March 24, 2014 by seren77
DeathKoala
I just use the text chat, since the only mic I have is my laptop's built-in. I doubt anyone wants to try to understand me through the roar of my fans desperately trying to keep my computer from melting. Not to mention having to hold a button to talk is stupid inconvenient. Orbister
Its immersion breaking, i dont want people speaking into my ears while i ninja around, and there is also the chance of getting people in your ear that you would not even want in real life talking to you...
