egregiousRac Posted March 24, 2014 Share Posted March 24, 2014 (edited) I have been running missions (mostly solo) looking for issues. What follows are the issues I have found with the Void tileset. Batch 1, an Exterminate, Part 1 (1-14): 1: Shadow Resolution The shadow on this wall decoration is horrifyingly low resolution. This is the case for every instance of this prop in this tile. 2: Enterable Wall - Could not Reproduce This wall can be climbed into from the main room. I just wallran up and ended up inside. 3: Shadow Resolution Another case of resolution issues for shadows in this room. Every case of this round wall decoration has an extremely harshe, low resolution shadow. 4: Iron Skin Brightness Change I barely move at all and Iron Skin changes from black to white. 5: LOD Issue A hole appears in this orb prop when LOD is reduced. 6: Effect Inconsistancy One of the water effects in this tube suddenly changes strength as the player moves. Another case: 7: Prop Placement Error The glass here is at an angle and totally misaligned with the hole. Additionally, the water comes up too high, causing it to clip through the floor around the hole. 8: Crates Spawning Inside of Surface Here you can see three crates spawning inside of sideboards on the walls, straight through glass plates. The crates look good inside of the sideboards, but the glass plates need to go. 9: Totally Broken Prop Placement The plates are inside of eachother, leaving huge holes. Close up: 10: Map Holes There are four holes created by having the curved pieces on the cieling and floor, but having the areas around them being right angles. 11: Mesh Overlap Error Pretty major flickering is happening here. 12: Map Hole 13: Map Hole (that can be used to get out of the map) Start Here: Use slides to work your way under the ledge: Finally, jump: 14: Prop Placement Error There is something sticking through the wall. egregiousRac Posted March 24, 2014 Author Share Posted March 24, 2014 Batch 1, Part 2 (15-28): 15: Death Orb Collision Issue I am standing on something invisible that was left behind when a Death Orb died. 16: Totally Broken Prop Pacement (Similar to issue 9) Again, spinning thing go boom. 17: Missing Backface Glass inset from above: Glass inset from below: 18: Mesh Overlap Error 19: Unfilled Rounded Corners There are 8 gaping holes in the cieling of this tile. They are technically covered by more walls and cielings, but the gaps look awful. 20: Prop Placement Error The black scrolling belts on the cieling come out of nowhere. 21: Mesh Overlap Error There are major overlap issues in this part of the cieling. It appears that a portion was accidentally cloned. 22: Mesh Overlap Error 23: Inconsistant Lighting 24: Texture Mapping Error There is no way the environment map should be being mapped this way on this mesh. There are seams on every triangle. 25: Shadow Resolution Issue This is the shadow of a tree. It is by far the worst shadow I have seen. 26: Door Placement Error That door is a good half a meter off the wall. 27: Texture Issue The texturing on these platforms is awful. egregiousRac Posted March 24, 2014 Author Share Posted March 24, 2014 Batch 1, Part 3 (29-38): 29: Prop Placement Error There are two curved wall pieces here, one white and one grey. They are intersecting. 30: Light Shaft Issue The end of this light shaft can be clearly seen from many angles. 31: Collision Issue The collisions of one of the wall pieces are shifted outward. I am currently to the left of the invisible wall. Because they are shifted outward I can walk through: The other side of the tile does not have this issue. 32: Transparent Materials Issue The glass overrides the water, causing the texture of the floor to be much brighter. 33: Inconsistant Speculars The gold trim should still be reflecting light if the piece next to it is. 34: Prop Placement Error Parts of the prop that shouldn't be are sticking through the glass. 35: Map Hole 36: Collision Issue The orbs do not have collisions. Just give them spherical collisions the size of the largest ring. 37: Mysterious Black Cube I could not get a screenshot of it, but when zoomed in on the orb from up close I was seeing a small black cube flickering a couple times per second. 38: Map Hole Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
