Shanicus Posted March 24, 2014 Share Posted March 24, 2014 So, running an Invasion mission for a Forma BP when the screen flickers to warn me that the Stalker is coming after me. Except... (Black Box is covering Chat) it was gonna be a trippy experience.Before his spawn, the Stalker's typical black flashes were purple and extended (2-3 seconds each) and the little speech box of his was flickering like an old analog TV. His final threat was also odd, as he took about 20 seconds between before he actually spawned.When he did spawn, instead of sitting down and going to stand up, the Stalker just spawned straight into a Slash Dash, slamming into my Excalibur for... 2 damage.I soaked him in fire with the Ignis, Killed him VERY quickly, watched a BP and Mod drop out of him, then watched him run around shooting me with his Dread for about 15-20 seconds. He dropped into his Absorb stance and then just... disappeared. Weird.All in all, it was an odd and glitchy fight - spawn graphics was weird (in the screenshot above), his A.I. was broken and his damage was incredibly low.As a side note, I recently upgraded my Graphics Drivers (AMD A8 series), so don't know if that's at all relevant to the graphical side of the glitching. Krjal Posted March 24, 2014 Share Posted March 24, 2014 Yeah, it's a game thing. It applies certain combos of colour correction and shaders for effects and then forgets to turn them off again. Used to happen a lot if you spawn into a mission where a cell's just activated a boss. Think they fixed that particular instance of it though. Poor guy's normally gone in a couple of seconds for me XD It was just really weird - I was kinda worried since I was in such a poorly geared Excalibur, but his attacks did barely any damage - I took about 6 arrows to the face and lost about 30 shields. It's good to know that it's not an issue with my card or drivers at least, but if the issue had previously been fixed I'm wondering what could have caused it to crop up again. Krjal Posted March 24, 2014 Share Posted March 24, 2014 Last time I saw it was from people specifically spawning into a mission while a boss intro is playing or something like Phorid's scream is happening and having effects applied that didn't go away. I think what you had was a different trigger but the same outcome.
