AgentXiri
Disclaimer: I play a lot of survival (with Zephyr for flying across tiles and firing air-to-ground missiles). As a result, there are a lot of enemy spawns, and a lot of enemy bullets at pretty much all times I am fine with Ogris self damage being a risk factor when using this inexcusably powerful gun, but it is very frustrating when a stray bullet from an enemy intersects with the flight path of your Ogris, causing it to explode harmlessly (to them, although you AND YOUR TEAM MATES will receive full damage from the explosion). Often it is a harmless explosion but a pain nevertheless to have to refire as your 1.5(+) charge time shot was negated by stray fire. In almost-the-worst-case-scenario (which happened a few times in one mission), I fire an Ogris round at a large group on the ground, somewhat near a team-mate, and stray bullets from their attempts to kill said team mate explodes the Ogris projectile and downs my team mate(s) that are caught in the blast. This problem is made a lot worse if you're like me and like to have the firestorm mod on your Ogris, because a large explosion radius is a very nice boost for taking out large crowds of enemies. On one occasion playing today I managed to shoot while standing next to a team mate, and a sudden cloud of bullets resulted in both of our deaths. Now I understand that the Ogris and other explosive weapons are used primarily in infested missions, but it'd be nice to be able to shoot the Ogris in corpus/void/grineer missions without the constant worry of downing yourself or a squad member. In the void (and presumably in grineer missions too) it is impossible to get your Ogris shots anywhere if there are 2 or more Heavy Gunners firing at once because their large cone of fire will (accidentally) take the missiles out. If the Ogris' missiles are to be left vulnerable to enemy fire, I think that we should be able to take out bombards' and napalms' projectiles with our own bullets too, as the inconsistency feels quite unfair. Edit: I realise I didn't explicitly state that I DO NOT aim directly at the enemy, that's suicide. Naturally I look to shoot the nearby floor surface (or wall or ceiling, depending on which gives minimal risk). BrotherIcarus
Well you are firing a missile at them if a bullet hits it it will at least be destroyed and probably explode.
Arunafeltz
Wait teammates receive damage when enemies detonate your Ogris?
SevenLetterKWord
Bombards should get their asses blown off when I shoot their rockets.
kaboomonme
Wait teammates receive damage when enemies detonate your Ogris? Apparently that's how it's programmed, similar to how a Bombard takes no damage from his own explosions, but when you shoot the projectile, it deals damage to him. EDIT : Or at least, that's what it should be like? Edited March 24, 2014 by kaboomonme
