Choosing Elements That What You Want.

Let's say, you have awesome weapon that is elementaless....And what if you want that weapon to have Corrosive and Radiation? Currently, that is not possible. (Corrosive needs Toxin + Electricity, Radiation needs Electricity + Fire, so if you put....Stormbringer + Infected Clip and High Voltage + Hellfire, it will make the combined elements according to what you put it first, like if you put, in this case will be Corrosive and fire.)

What if DEs make little bit of change in the modding system, so that we can choose the elements what we want. Either strong Corrosive with fire, or Corrosive and Radiation?

(Also sometimes, we can't put the elements we want because of polarity is staying in the last slots for some weapons.)

The devs designed Damage 2.0's new elemental system so that certain combinations would indeed be impossible. This was because of the ridiculousness that 1.0 had of being able to freeze enemies and set them on fire at the same time.

I'm fine with the new system (in terms of element selection, anyways; the "Status Chance" system itself is utter crap); however, we should be able to consistently create procs using the elements we modded our weapons for (e.g. if I'm using an Akstiletto with Corrosive and Cold damage, then I want to see some freezing actually happen instead of just Puncture and Corrosive procs).

I agree with this, but that last sentence you can move the polarities now, click on swap +/- that button when viewing your mod loadout to rearrange the mod polarities, they did that specifically due to elements

I think you can pull that off, you cant make a combo and then one of the elementals from the build on its own, but what you have to do is do it like: corrosive no matter what order and then put the fire after the corrosive, and after the fire toxin, it makes sense but i didn't test it ingame, i think it should work

Lol, I forgot about that, but still, you need to polarize that weapon AT LEAST once to SWAP the polarity.

This is what really irks me. The devs don't seem to have realized that it wasn't a problem of where the fresh new forma were placed, it was a problem of where the polarities themselves (innate or not) were.

Can't even get the build I want on my Brakk without forma'ing it because of terrible innate polarity placement.

Last time I checked, you can swap them without actually forma'ing, but it requires a Forma to initiate the forma-screen.

You checked it 'last time', I 'just' checked it out. my depair's polarity placement cannot be swapped. 'Cause I haven't polarized it yet.

setting frozen enemies on fire was for champions

The solution to that was you can only procc one element at a time. And even with all the new elements, we really haven't increased the number of paradoxes.

And certain combinations that are impossible for base weapons are doable for weapons with advanced elements. Detron despite being Radiation, can deal Gas and Magnetic damage as well. Or Blast, and Corrosive.

We have at least one weapon that deals every advanced element except for Magnetic. So most combinations are actually possible.
