Oxium Drop Rates/requirements

 Share

Recommended Posts

Ok, is anyone actually farming enough oxium for the new frame/sentinel and actually getting it in a reasonable amount of time? I find the drop rates of oxium way too low IMHO. I mean come on, one or two oxium max per drop? I usually come out of a mission with maybe 5 oxium (and that's on a good solo run). The requirements for the new frame is 600 oxium? At the current drop rate it would take forever to collect all that oxium solo (which I'm trying to do by the way). That's way too much farming in order to get enough oxium to build the new frame and the new sentinel. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as the best farming spots/techniques? Because I'm getting fed up with all the farming I'm doing and having so little oxium to show for it.

Everyone finds the drop rates too low. There is a resource booster in the market to double your resource pick up, so it's likely they won't boost the drop rate/amount to entice people to buy the booster.

Also, don't farm for Helios... its garbage.

some people are farming him just to collect all the items. He may be buffed to be more usable as well.

Kappa is known to be one of the best places (if not the best) to get oxium.

Plus, now that mimas is corpus, you can farm orokin cells and oxium at the same time.

You get more than 100 oxium in 30 minutes, and even more with a good team.

It might be worth having the amount of oxium dropped vary by enemy level. The oxium osprey is a fairly durable goon, so fighting them at level 35 out on pluto survival seems like it should be worth more than fighting the weaklings at Kappa.

Also,  I don't want to break anybody's brain too badly but...  Faction-specific materials seems like a real possibility. Corpus has Oxium, Grineer may get something of their own. This is pure speculation on my part but it seems plausible that Oxium was introduced as a proof of concept. You may want to prepare for that if your sanity is already teetering.
