Having Fun Whit The Current Stealth System? Sure You Can!

Question

SOMEHOW I POSTED IT ON WEAPONS FORUMS, MY BAD!

Im that kind of player in a shooter that just wants to see the world burn around me, thus why Ember is my go-to frame for any mission so im not really the sneaky type but there has always been this ich to play sneaky, to play a good stealth game.

Assassin's creed helped, nice and rewarding stealth mechanics and dificult combat that actually encourages stealth. AS 3 then ruined it for me due to the fact i could just steamroll waves and waves of enemies whit little to no effort, hell in one of my first missions as an assassin i wanted to pull off a little trick i did in the first one wich was doing combat whit just the hidden blades wich forced you to rely on great timing to counter your opponet's moves. in the first it was hard but in the 3 i was surpriced how ridicusly easy it was for me to kill 20+ men all whit the Hidden blades. And no im no AS expert by any mean, in fac i consider myself to have some S#&$ty timing so i just dropped the game and looked for a new one to feed my Stealth self.

Just recently (by recently i mean last year) i got my hands on Metal Gear Solid Guns of the Patriots and boy oh boy was it refreshing goind all Ninja on their assess.

Whats the point of all this? well i may not be an expert of stealth but i know the basics and this is what the Current Stealth system works, Stealth 1.0 if you want, is pretty basic and does the job, better now that you can actually turn off the alarms, thanks DE btw.

Now the i already sold my Rhino CHassis and used the plat to buy new slots and that i just got Shade (WHIT JET WINGS!) i want to try and get the most out of the Stealth 1.0, to make it fun as we wait for Melee 2.0 and, maybe, Stealth 2.0.

Working around the limitations:

NOTE: I will be talking about Sneaking around and attacking targets whit Stealth Attacks so i will not include Loki or Ash invisibility since it feels kinda cheap. We are going true ninja using the shadows and enviroment at our advantage. Whit that out of the way LETS ROCK! silently.

Doing research i found out that Stealth damage is roughly 4 times the Charge damage of your weapon so it will kill most low lv enemies but for higher lv missions we are gonna need to be more creative.

Since its based on Charge Damage mods that increase said damage will also increase the Stealth damage so Killing Blow and Rending Strike are a must if you want to kill high lv targets. Especial Mention to Corrupt Charge, if you actually got it, since it increases your charge damage to Chuck Norris lvs of awesome and the charge speed has no effect on the stealth attack, i dont have it but i wish....

Now lets gear up:

Melee: is odvious, and sad, that we are going to need a heavy weapon whit HUGE amounts of Charge Damage. Its really up to you since we want to do stealth whit a weapon we like. Efficiency wise of course the Galatine will be the undefeated King (or Queen) but i say F*** that because i dont like normal weapons so i want to do Stealth whit a fraking Jet Powered hammer, because Ninjas, dont question it.

the Jat Kittag Charge damage is 225, combining all Charge damage mods it will give a HOLY S#&$ increase of 310% that acording to my calculations would be 697.5. Wich mean your stealth atttacks would do around 2790 that without counting extra damage from other damage mods and elemental mods, boosts or anything wich is pretty impressive. Sure you could go whit Galatine wich would double that amount but its all up to your liking.

Primary: We will need a powerfull gun that can take out foes in a single hit and cant alert others. Just pick the Bow of your choice if you have em all though i heard Dread has higher crit chance so you can go and take a chance HAHAHAHA... ok i stop now.

On the other side you could go and Snipe some arsess whit a sniper rifle. For that you will need Hush, reduces weapon sound, and posibly CHarged/ Primed Chamber for those sweet high numbers on headshots. As a personal prefference i would pick Vectis since its perfect for Charge/Rrimed combo and i havent seen any Sniper that can Deal as much damage as this one does, seriously it may be only one bullet per "mag" but the enemy will sure feel the hit, or wont cause they will die too fast to notice. Any Sniper will do really, exept the Vulkar, i havent heard a single good thing about it...

Secondary: Normally i would pick a powerfull Secondary to use in case of an alarm. I would recomend the Cestra, may not be as ammo efficient but it packs a hell of a punch, also the bronco family, Brakk, Detron, Lex and so on. Especial mention to the Tysis for its high Stat chance (50%!) wich can make for some creative builds.

If you want to also snipe whit a Secondary Lex is a must, or the Ballistica, but do remember is not as silent as the bows. For both youn will need Suppress to cover your trail.

Do remember that whit two sniping guns your short range abilities are hindered and you will rely on quick reflexes and sharp aiming. In the end is all about what you feel better whit.

Warframes: I already mentioned that i wont count Ash or Loki cause their "Stealth" is just going Invisible and charge away. For real stealth, you know been sneaky, i would recomend a fast frame whit skills that compliment Sniping and Sneaking around. Nova is perfect for those clustered indoor combat where enemies are often found close to each other, whit Wormhole you can travel to a highet spot and pop some heads or if caught in the fray Antimatter drop can be quite devastating since the high damage of your Sniping weapon  will multiply the damage exponentially. For outdoors i go for Zephyr, her floaty movement is perfect to parkour around and use her skills to fly around and catch enemies off guard.

LAST WORDS:

Thats about it, i will work on my stealth and may expand this threat even longer whit any new finding. Hope it was useful and dont forget to comment! any feedback from fellow sneaky ninjas is helpful!

OTHER NINJAS RECOMENDATIONS:

(I disagree on the AC things but that is of topic)

But over all I agree with what you are saying I have been running stealth missions for the last couple hours and some tips I would add are.

Take enemy sense/radar having this is invaluable.

Do not take a sentinel even if you take of the attack precept it can still be seen when you are crouching behind a crate or something and will just get you spotted. Contrary to belief shade is not any good for stealth (Well at least over any other sentinel).

Hush mods are also essential as has been mentioned but keep in mind that the enemies will not be alerted if they see one of themselves getting killed.

If you play smart you can take literally any warframe on a stealth mission and never get spotted as you will not be relying on high health and shields nor your powers.

Try a variety of melee weapon types some of those stealth kill animations are really cool.

Someone went for seconds on the cool beans and awesome sauce I see...+1

Also please do not leave out Banshee as far as frame choices. On a solo mission if you REALLY wanna do the stealth thing ... and I do.. SIlence and Sonar are your friends... FOR SURE... I just hope silence gets some more love...

I will eventually make a section whit Warframes recomendations and stuff. This are just general recomendations of things i have used or seen in action.

And i heard DE is working to balance some Warframe skills cause they would be OP whit the new melee system, counting Ash/Loki invisibility and Silence. We shall see what they come up whit

I mentioned that for efficient high lv stealth kills you will need a weapon whit high charge attack but in the end is up to you wich weapon you like. Scyte stealth attacks are just BEAST!
