Rauc
I realize that the developers are trying to remove the whole "cosmetics adding stat bonuses/deficiencies" thing, but I was chatting with a friend recently and realized how perfect this would be for the animation sets. These are ideas I came up with in the matter of a few minutes, so don't judge too harshly. Current "Noble" set could... ... Increase: - Stamina - Move speed - Revive rate - Shield recharge rate - Shield recharge delay ... Decrease: - Melee damage/swing speed (Could be a more significant change with Melee 2.0.) - Ability damage - Armour/Health/Shield value (Not all three, I just can't decide which would be best.) Whereas the current "Agile" set could... ... Increase: - Power damage - Melee damage/speed (Again, we'd have to see what Melee 2.0 would bring.) - Armour/Health/Shield value ... Decrease: - Stamina - Sprint speed - Shield recharge rate - Shield recharge delay (Preferably a large delay reduction, so that these sets wouldn't become a walking red and white bullseye for enemies without the protection to do so). - Ability efficiency I loved this idea so much mostly because of the fact that it would create three totally unique play styles (including default animation set) influenced by stat changes that could enhance certain traits of certain builds or balance other traits. For example, would you want a faster Rhino that can rush into the party matched with some of the faster frames, but not do as much damage as you'd expect, or would you want a Rhino that can crush every single thing in his path when he gets there? How about a slower but less squishy Ash, or maybe a quicker and sneakier Ash? (I'm saying the "Agile" set should be slow. It'd require a name change, yes, but in my eyes, "Noble" looks more nimble and quick, and "Agile" looks more... Slow and heavy, but yet powerful.) Mephane
This would still create the same issue - people either possibly hating their stat choice or their style choice.
Fire_Ashes
I feel like the stances are cosmetic. I really wouldn't want to use the noble stance which I love when it will take down my health or melee damage. I like a nice balanced playstyle. However I like what you are getting at, just don't like how they tie with the stances. Great Idea Though, keep brainstorming! -Fire
Noble_Cactus
One of the main reasons stats are being removed from helms is to allow player choice in how they express themselves. Doing this would place us back at square one. I'd still prefer stat boosts to be invisible gear that you can equip separately from any cosmetics. Call them precepts (clashes with Sentinels), disciplines, or something else that's befitting of a Tenno. MegaSnail
Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Possibly could put us back, but I think that having it be more significant of a change would be better than it was. As it was before, you could express yourself with all the different helmets, it's just that some helmets looked better than others, or the ones that looked decent would have ridiculously useless or counterproductive stat effects, and they were only limited to certain frames. As for these "precepts" or "disciplines," I like the idea, but I also think it should have SOME cosmetic tie-in, and I think animation sets would be the way to go. This was just me shooting ideas onto e-paper and e-pen.
