Platinum/ Game In General Question

I was wondering what exactly should to bought with platinum in the game.  I know nothing NEEDS to be bought with platinum but there are somethings that can only be bought with platinum, and some of those are really good to have like more weapon or warframe slots.  So can anyone tell me if there are other things, like extra slots, that you can only get with platinum that make the game better. Be aware that I am not talking about warframe ascetics or boosters, since they don't do much.

Slots, especially frame slots. Catalysts also.

Syndanas + color pallets are a nice addition too.

nothing else other than what you mentioned--slots, boosters and superfluous aesthetics (profile icons, skins, scarves, color packs). it's pretty easy to make platinum in-game via trades so why not buy some of those things?

Slots are pretty much all I ever buy

if you have more money to blow you dont feel like all the grind, the affinity booster is also nice (I do 3 day because that is friday,saturday and sunday so I get my full use out of it)

If you like customization you can buy color packs and avatar icons of your favorite warframes or sycandanas/Immortal Skins

you can buy catalyst/reactors if you dont feel like waiting and have alot of things to super charge

If you feel really antsy, instead of buying whole warframes you can collect the parts and then rush the 3 day build

 

you never have to buy helmets because those come in alerts (though this may change in the future).

At the beggining I only bought slots, then when I get some extra Platinum on trades I bought Syandanas, Colours and two profiles Icon, but that's all.

 

 

If you don't have a lot of plat you should spend it only on Warframes and weapons slots, all the other helpful stuff you can get it for free, even Catalyst/Reactor/Formas, just need to be patient and have some dedication.

The 75 plat frames and sentinels arent a bad idea if you have excess to burn.

 

Cred/Affinity/Drop boosters before a weekend dedicated to farming.

Definitely save the platinum for buying slots. I promised myself I would just get rid of weapons/frames you don't want as I master them to free up slots, but I kissed that idea goodbye long ago. Other than that, get catalysts/reactors, and MAYBE a forma if you're desperate.

 

Eventually you'll be sucked in to buying platinum, especially when you get discounts as a login reward. But honestly, I think it's definitely worth supporting their hard work by putting some real cash into it.
