Hyginos
So in the far future we have teleportation, invisibility, cross-dimemsional travel, energy weapons, and mind control... ...but when it gets dark we rely on 5 dollar maglight knockoffs from the end display at a grocery store. Whats it take to get some night vision around here?

Un1337ninj4
How else are devs gonna give us a proper scare when it counts? Or at least that's what I think the idea was...
Gurrend
I was thinking about how we need to send those lights to the shop for maintenance since they are always pointing at the ground with bows equipped.
SolidSp33d
How else are devs gonna give us a proper scare when it counts? Or at least that's what I think the idea was... Agreed. Gives a much better atmosphere in dark infested levels. Should be pretty sweet in the infested ships at that. Heck, even Master Chief used a flashlight. RyojinOrion
How else are devs gonna give us a proper scare when it counts? Or at least that's what I think the idea was... How can they give us a good scare when we're walking nukes? We have nothing to be afraid of, let alone a little darkness.
Morec0
Think of it like this: a flashlight on a gun MAY be low tech, but it does not interfere with our suits in anyway. However we see without eyes in beyond me, but to try and work something like night vision into the Frame Helmets (and mind you this is from a Lore Perspective) might leave for less room for the frames to have other components to aid the Tenno inside. Keep in mind they were not created with combating the Infested in mind, we were out to fight a war against other enemies.

DJ-7809
also thermal vision, dont forget thermal vision Thermal Vision? Morec0
Thermal Vision? Until someone uses an Ember, that is....prepare for the shrieks of Tenno pain as their eyes are blasted into nothingness. Huh, now that you mention it: wouldn't that kind of flare be the same problem with night vision as well?

Cpt_Atroxium
I would rather see some custom flashlights, focus lights when aim down sight, maybe some vision type of frame? Heatseaking Predator styled WARFRAME!! Someone make one now, everyone knows predator is orikin tech form ancient time. DO IT!
OniDax
I want some sort of thermal/predator vision mode. If you need to scare us, well, you can always make them flicker and say there's interference...
Noioiy
I is a master of all the warframes (yes, IS) But I almost shat my pants when it gets dark. (sad childhood was sad) Can someone make something like, flashlights attached to shoulder/head? And as the guy above me said, flicker them due to 'interference'
VegetableBasket
Ninjas really should not even have flashlights since it kind of gives away our position. You're right, toss them out.

If they didn't have the flashlights they'd be running around in the dark stubbing their toes! That's worse than anything the grineer/corpus/infested could do. MagPrime
If they didn't have the flashlights they'd be running around in the dark stubbing their toes! That's worse than anything the grineer/corpus/infested could do. The only thing worse would be Legos on the ground, in the dark. I think the flashlight appearance is mainly for the players benefit. We can't see in the dark, and thermal/night vision would be a problem on the factiosn that run around carrying flamethrowers or use fire AoE's. Think the White Screen of Broken Lights was bad? Try night vision with sudden, bright light.
MihawkDulacr1
Maybe the darkness could be made more darker, it would make it a lot of scarier to fight on the already creepy looking ships. And i dont think tossing it out would be wise, then we should have some metal gear rising like sensoring device that makes us at least know where we can await an enemy. Huh, now that you mention it: wouldn't that kind of flare be the same problem with night vision as well? I was going to agree with the OP but then I remembered the points made above, As someone who once, while wearing NVG's, (stupidly) failed to look away when a flashbang went off I can attest it doesn't do much for your combat effectiveness. On those grounds I am happy to accept this hand wave, so long as one day I get to forma a futuristic 4 D-cell Maglight melee weapon... The tenno prod? Rorgal_Sina
Night vision can make the game scary too. DE just must do it right, but this is hardly a priority.
Wiegraf
Hm... could be some kind of craftable gear item. Put it in your gear and press it to turn it on or off, consuming it's own energy to display everything à la night vision or thermal. Doubt people would use it if it was a mod (that and being locked into night-vision or thermal-vision during a 60 minutes survival would drive people crazy). (PSN)MyTagForHalo
Night vision: Grab some green tinted plastic wrap and tape it on your monitor. Presto! In all seriousness, night vision isnt too practical.. atleast true night vision anyway. They would have to probably modify the lighting effects so that they give proper bloom, or give each enemy a heatmap if you are going thermal. xD I think the maglights are just fine, though it would make more sense to have em like cheif does.. attached to the suit rather than in my arrows. Also, any particle effects would be annoying as hell. You guys didn't like the broken lights, right? Imagine that.. every time a nova uses MP.
