Rifle Aptitude Vs Point Strike, Status Chance Needs Some Love.

I understand one is Status Chance and the other is Critical Chance, however the two stats do pretty much have parity.

This is mostly for rifles, but may apply to other weapons as well.

Status chance ranges from 1% to 35%, witht he average being around 10%.

Critical chance ranges from 2.5% to 30%, with average being somewhere around 10%.

 

So when the time comes to increase them, why does Point Strike give 25% per rank, maxing out at 150% increase for 9 points, but Rifle Aptitude only gives 2.5% per rank, maxing out at 15% increase for 9 points?!?

 

So taking best case scenarios with just these mods"

Soma with 9 point Point Strike = 75% critical hit chance

Grinlok with 9 point Rifle Aptitude = 40.25% status chance

 

What I'm asking for is to bring Rifle Aptitude into the same level as Point Strike. Or if that isn't possible, then at least buff it until it is a valid option. Currently it is just a joke.

15% is pretty pathetic, yeah.  It's never worth using, ever.

 

Its fine the way it is.

 

No need for buffs of any kind.

 

You're gonna need an explanation for this one.

If need be, I'd be completely OK with the status chance on certain weapons and/or the dual stat status mods getting adjusted to compensate for the baseline status mods getting buffed.

why did you use 2 different rifles to compare them?

I was using best case scenarios. It's fairly obvious that 15% is less then 150%.

What I was trying to show is that even when used on their BEST respective weapons, the status chance increases just 5.25% while critical hit goes up 45%.

Status chance isn't such a super powerful thing that it should only be raised in small increments.

In general, Nitemare mods give two increases, both smaller then the stand alone mod would increase it, as well as costing more.

But every Nitemare mod that raises status chance does it by 15% per rank, not 2.5%.

 

It just seems to be an oversight, that someone at DE missed that this was set way too low.
