Nova Or Loki?

So I'm looking for a frame with which I can do the most grueling endgame content, Tower 3 survival 50+ minutes, etc. Im going to have to sell one of my warframes (probably oberon because he's seems pretty bad engame imo, and on top of that I think he's boring) to open up a warframe slot. I love all my other frames, and have a lot of fun playing them, and I'm not going to be buying platinum anytime soon, and no one wants to buy the prime parts or rare mods I have :'(. TL:DR I can only get 1 of the frames in the title.

 

So I know the gist of both frames (I think).

 

Nova is a pure offensive damage frame with a pinch of mobility who comes with a healthy serving of press-4-to-win-sauce. Im assumung you want to try and boost effeciency, range, and strength.

 

Loki is an extremely slippery and mobile frame with extremely high utility vs ranged adversaries. Im assuming you want to max effeciency and duration, while increasing range for your Radial Disarm.

 

I've heard these are great frames for endgame content because Nova has overwhelming aoe damage that can be procced by all members of your team, and Loki can cripple the biggest threats in the game by removing their weapons, and remaining deceptively survivable with his invisibility.

 

So tell me which frame I should get, and why! (I will eventually get both, don't you guys worry)

 

P.S. I have the pieces to both frames cookin in the foundry as we speak, and both BPs bought. Im really stuck.

Loki -> Disarm everyone and stay invisible.

 

Nova -> Explode everything until wave 30 ~ 40 or 40 ~ 50 mins and then after that the explosion damage is not enough to kill everything but the +50% damage bonus and the slow effect is very useful.

 

Both are very good for end game. If you wanna get more kills go for Nova. If you prefer staying alive go for Loki. Either choice is very good, two of the best frames.

 

Either one is better than Oberon IMO

I have never liked Loki because he is really ugly. He as the second-ugliest body in the game, just ahead of Ash, but at least Ash has a good looking default helmet. Go for Nova, Wormhole is a ton of fun.

Also OP, since you already know what both frames do, shouldn't the decision be completely up to personal taste?

Unless you're deciding to pack some ulti-derpy weps for Loki, Nova is really the better option especially for higher levels where its a necesscity to depend on  abilities and weapons at the same time.

 

Loki is great for alerts and stealthing around, but even radial disarm will start getting tiring when you face enemies up to tier 100+ and can only disarm about 50 / 60 m [with range mods] while there are still hundreds of them surrounding you and shooting at you from afar. '

 

Then again, my advise is useless without knowing what strategy and / or playstyle you tend to use.

If plat for a slot is the issue, shoot me a message and I'll give you some.  Right now the only 'frame I don't have is Rhino Prime, and I love having the ability to switch through all the 'frames.  Gives me a nice range of choices and it suits my playstyle.

 

But yeah, seriously, I'll give you the plat to buy slots.

I am finding that Excal built for radial blind is far more effective than loki using invis / radial disarm.

 

but in a survival past 40 mins, I want there to be at least one nova in the party for double damage.

nothing beats having the equivalent to 8 players present.

 

for endgame farm Survival team;

Trinity "running" blessing with 100% uptime or Excalibur using Radial blind on a range/cost build

Nekros mashing 3 and nothing else

Nova Using 4 to add the 200% damage debuff

 

And any choice of frame as a 4th.

 

 

 

 

I would sell Oberon for Nova in a heartbeat, Make sure you have a max redirection mod, and learn to take cover and sprint between the bullets, and Nova is the single most powerful frame in this game, for damage output.

Strange, Loki's design is the reason I started playing Warframe. It is really interesting and successful as a unique concept. It reminds me both of the obviously awesome Hammerhead Shark (we all know shark's are a terrifying ambush predator) and of a stylised Nordic warrior's helm, akin to his oh-so-appropriate name.

In case you didn't realise, I vote for Loki, OP :D
