(PSN)NEXUS_uk
This mission is extremely frustrating and irritating beyond belief and I have tried so many times to pass this stupid mission with no luck at all there are way too many grinder to deal with as soon as you reach 50 or 60% completion. Please fix this stupid mission altogether or at least get rid of it from the mission stream so we don't have to complete this mission to unlock the other mission in the earth block. Nexus, you are correct. This is a big problem. We have players that are so new to the game, they're calling the Grineer 'grinder'; and we expect them to be able to handle the most tactical, fastest paced mission type in the game. Please take this players advice and place Interception on a side path. Believe me, for every 1 post you see on the forums about this, around 49 other players just ragequit. JJ842
4 players, 4 towers. Each player takes one tower. YOU CAN'T LOSE! Do me a favor: Take some mid-tier equipment and join a random Eurasia run, then report how it went. Unless you happened upon a match with a high-level player or two chances are you got annihilated as DE massively upped the spawns and enemy levels for interception missions for the event. It's no longer the cakewalk it used to be.

Are you forgetting these players generally don't have any real mods, or if they do, they are rank 1? Forget mid-tier gear. these guys are lucky to have a rank 2 Redirection, or even have all of their powers on their Frame.
Taranis49
4 players, 4 towers. Each player takes one tower. YOU CAN'T LOSE! Assuming those 4 players have better than Mk-1 Bratons/Latos with no damage mods, sure - sadly, odds are that's what newbies trying to progress through the solar system are going to have at that point in the game. You haven't seen a trainwreck until you've seen newbies try to deal with swarms of Eviscerators and Hellions (including leader variants of both) on Earth, it's horrible, but you won't be able to look away simply out of morbid curiousity. It's Warframe: Prepare to Die Edition. Edited March 25, 2014 by Taranis49

It's Warframe: Prepare to Die Edition. The enemies do NOT make the mission hard, it's the new players. They seriously have no idea what the're doing. Level 6 enemies die just fine with unmodded Braton.
notionphil
They seriously have no idea what the're doing. EXACTLY that's the point. They have no idea how to use the tactics which are required to beat that mission using essentially no powers and crappy mods. The mission is way too early in the game for them to "have an idea what they are doing". Edited March 25, 2014 by notionphil
JJ842
They seriously have no idea what the're doing. Level 6 enemies die just fine with unmodded Braton. Are you serious? The Grineer spawn more or less constantly, most of them have hitscan weapons plus there are Eviscerators, Hellions AND Leaders spawning too, it's not uncommon to see three of them in one group of enemies. A team of four new players with unmodded Bratons will get overwhelmed by sheer weight of numbers even if they know exactly what they're supposed to be doing. Get together a team with starting frames of your choise with basic low-level mods and unmodded starting weapons and try doing the mission if you don't believe me, it's literally impossible. Taranis49
They seriously have no idea what the're doing. Level 6 enemies die just fine with unmodded Braton. Not knowing what they're doing is sort of expected considering they're, you know, newbies. And the enemies are an issue (Hellions, Evis and Bombards spawn before the five minute mark), particularly the spawn rate - it's basically endless (when carrying a team of newbies through the mission, I'll regularly rack up around 200+ kills within the first few minutes), nevermind the issue of having poorly-modded newbie frames with no real damage mods on their weapons running into multiple level 15 - 20+ leaders on a level 6 - 8 map... it's not all that uncommon to join a session in progress and find the rest of the team's already been downed and surrounded by dozens of enemies. It's not just difficult for a team of four newbies to complete, for all practical purposes it's mathematically impossible for them.
XRAY0128
They seriously have no idea what the're doing. Level 6 enemies die just fine with unmodded Braton. Actually, ive seen even relatively high rank players destroyed in this. No matter how skilled you are, having 10 troopers and 3 leaders rush you at once will probably mess you up. Unless youre using endgame equipment.

"It's such a fun and intense experience guys!" -Sheldon and Rebeccas opinion during the last lifestream. Looks like they either don't care or don't think it's important. Well if you don't have to worry about getting past that damn mission in order to get better gear, it's kind of obvious they would take defeats more easily than completely new player who desire to get their hands on the good stuff finaly. But yeah i pointed it out during the last event when i noticed new players were getting smashed to bits. I lost 10 mission and quit 12 or so more (of less than 90 i lost since April last year) since then because while i can handle the enemies relative well with my endgame gear, these guys can't even hold a single point against the onslaught of enemies they have to face with their limited experience and gear. Oh and if someone asks why i run the missions with newbies, risking to lose. It's because i want to help them. I have not used Nova in ages, but to help these guys i dusted her off and went there. New player should not face Hellions, Leaders and Eviscrators in such numbers so early in the game. Come to think of it, they should not face Eviscrators at all just outside Venus. Often they don't even seem to have their abilities equipped, most likely spending mod points on health and shield. Though one major problem i always see is that for some reason they tend to gravitate towards what i call the death traps. The locations where enemies spawn from at least 2 directions and can attack from more than 1 angle. It's insane, they run there, ignoring the more vital points to get taken over by enemies and they DIE. For example on the smaller map, it's the point D. There are two spawns there, one from a larger tunnel and one directly above the point. Meanwhile the further away points B and C are far more easier to defend (especialy if you lift the crate at B) and holding them is extremly vital. But, half the time, i'm standing there alone. Meanwhile point A might be a bit closer to the double spawn, but thanks to being in a building it's easier to defend than D. Concentrating on A, B and C, makes the mission easier, but so often they run to D and die. Edited March 25, 2014 by Othergrunty

No, because that's just proof you went to the node and got past it, not that you played (nevermind succeeded) in the actual interception mission itself with a team of another three similarly equipped people. I'm noticing a distinct lack of actual, in-mission screenshots. And as noted, Lua can be even worse. ;-) Edited March 25, 2014 by Taranis49

Nope. See, what that doesn't tell us is who was in the mission with you - being carried by a Nova who can cover the entire map in MP isn't 'IQ'. It also doesn't say anything about when this was done, except that you have a Cronus, which stopped dropping in update 12. So yeah, I'm going to run a guess here that you did the mission back in the early days of U12 when the spawns were much easier.
angrykenji
I tried these nodes today to help some newbies, and the spawn rates are crazy for rank 0-2 to deal with.
