Hek's Escalation (Getting 1000 Points)

Question

Alright... something is seriously wrong with this event... I just did my 4th run of the shield core, this time the core didn't even take a single hit from enemies, and kept moving along the track consistently, not stopping once, so basically the core took the absolute minimal damage from the -10 every few steps... it had like 6-7000 health about at the end and we only got 685 points...

My first run ever the core was dying with like 1200 left and we got a score 990 (this run was also plagued with us going down every 2 seconds)...

So why am I being punished for doing better?  I don't get how this is calculated, it says on the event page that it's based on the core's health at the end... am I supposed to let it get torn up or something, because apparently defending it to the death isn't the way to succeed.

I don't have any idea why you would get less points for better performance. I got through the shield core event with 4500 helath and got 1365 points for it. I used a team with Frost for snow globe, Mag for shield polarise, Nova for molecular prime to kill more enemies quicker andRhino because he had the most shields to keep the core running for the longest.

Yeah we had a snow globe down every 2 feet of the track and we had a Mag polarizing every chance they had too... we've been finishing with what should be phenomenal conditions and yet getting lower and lower scores... Like I said, our worst run yielded the absolute highest score :s

On Power Core run, the final score is the leftover health/10, while on Shield Core run, the final score is the leftover health x 3 /10.

Edit: Oops, switched the core...

Should be this.  The easy run that takes 3 fragments to craft takes total health and divides by 10.  The only way to get 1000 is doing the harder run that takes 6 fragments to craft which divides the total health by 10 then multiplies it by 3 to give you the score.

Don't forget to shoot the Mines on the top (only there when you do the Shield Core what you ahve to do if you want 1000+), there should be three. Always stay close to the Core all the time (and have a mag with you so you don't have to go out of range to reacharge your shields).

Don't use a Frost with big long lasting Snowglobes, take one with small short ones with nearly no energycoast so he can spam alot of them.

Take a Loki with you with Radial Disarm. Let him spam it and oyu won't ahve to worry about enemys shooting only about them using melee.

If your Mag then spams also pull you most times won't even see an enemy close to the Core.

Also take alot of Energy Restores with you, that way you will be able to spam your powers even more.

When you do all of that 2400+ is easy. The rest is just perfect timing for the hacking (don't use chipers they are slower) and also its a good idea to take a Zeph with you for hacking. With Zeph you can stay longer with the core before you have to leave for the console (cause you don't have to run back to get to the stairs or leave earlier, you can just fly up there).
