Drop Tables Making The Game Uninteresting

Okay, so:

I need an akbronco prime bp from t1 ext. I work on primes in order of tiers, and that's all I need, and Akbro pri bp from t1 ext, and then I'm on to t2.

I am getting NOTHING but t1 mobile defense keys from the t1 ext. I'm running out of t1 ext keys, getting something I in no way, shape, or form want.

It doesn't make me want to play more. It doesn't make me happy to go waste money and time trolling the trade channel.

It's sucked most of the enthusiasm and interest out of the game, and... it just isn't fun.

I don't even understand WHY these are on there. Exterminates take a bit of time to do, even with easy t1 enemies, and it's a 1 to 1 ratio. It's not like a survival or a defense where I get lots of options for rewards. It's not like a capture mission where I can literally do it in 50 seconds without firing a shot. It's a pointless "reward" for a moderate amount of work, and lots of "moderate" amounts adds up to "a whole lot", and for what?

Not cool.

They should really remove keys from the void drop tables.

I will note, the only one I was actually okay with was removed--formerly, you could get the key of the mission you were in.

I thought that was okay because it basically was like a "Free spin". You didn't actually lose a key in the process, you just got up to 3 more for your friends(or random strangers).

Getting keys for other things, however(especially this repeated MD key thing) is just annoying.

If my t1 ext keys got me more t1 ext keys, that'd be great. Hell, it'd be awesome, because then my clannies would have tons of them to use.

No, instead we've got tons and tons of these worthless t1 md keys.

If I'm in a t1 ext, it's because I want the reward from the t1 ext. Not because I want the reward from the t1 md. If I wanted that, I'd be in a t1 md.

Similarly, every T1MD I do gets me a T1C key.

The RNG appears to be broken, and DE doesn't seem to have done anything about it. Or even acknowledge it.

First, it makes me wonder which key type will yield t1 exts.

Secondly, they HAVE acknowledged it, and it's under examination as we speak. They're looking at fixing it, they're just not sure how.

Remove the T1/2 keys and credits from the loot table, simple fix. They don't need to hire, they don't need to be coddled. Just listen to your customers and fix it if what we say is true. The void loot tables haven't been right since game opened up to us. DE team feels fine im sure, don't worry about them, its a job. If you want to feel bad for a worker feel bad for road kill collectors or dead body removal teams or septic tank cleaners. Come on man.

I don't know. Like, honestly, a bit back, you were VERY likely to get a free key on your way through--if you did a t3 cap, you'd get a t3 cap key. If you did a t2 MD, you'd get a t2 MD key.

I don't mind that, because 1: I didn't actually lose a key in the process, and 2: If I actually know the people I brought with me, we now have FOUR more chances to come back here for whatever we came for in the first place.

I would like it if running 3 t1 exts netted my clan a total of 12 t1 ext keys. Means we can do 12 more t1 exts, and at worst, get infinite free tries, and at best, get what we wanted. That's cool.

Having my key converted to something I don't need and don't want? Not cool.

As far as "credits", I can only assume you mean "from survival", as I've not seen them anywhere else.

I don't think doing a 60 minute survival should mean 1 key gets you 12 prime parts. That's kind of ridiculous, particularly as they're a tradeable commodity now. Survival isn't much more valuable than other keys right now, and it shouldn't be. When it was dropping NOTHING but credits, yeah, that was lame, but now that it throws them in with a mix of forma and prime parts, it's actually highly lucrative. When they spend 20 hours in survival, they're guaranteed to get at least ~60 prime parts. Demanding that be increased is just spoiled whining.

I've spent ~10 hours in t1 ext and gotten ONE(1) prime part. **THAT** is a problem.

Hi Llyssa, well your name calling has been fun today. Im still looking for the part where I typed " I demand" this or that. Also I never said I wanted Prime pieces so get that out of your head. Furthermore you can get your precious Keys other places besides the Void.

Today I have wasted two T3 survival keys and and 80 minutes of my life for sodding credit caches and orokin cells.

Which dullard thought cramming the reward tables with such pitiful junk was a good idea?

One of the reasons why im not playing as much as i do

1. Hosts aborting on T3 Survival because they didnt get the shiny they want or my connection is lost

2. Droptables are weird, and i dont wanna pay 60 or 70 plat for just one part of the thing i want.

You do realise that 1 is caused by 2, right? Why should the host waste his T3 key if he knows that he will only come away with 2 Paris Prime blueprints, a Mag Prime chassis, a morphic and about 5 separate instances of small change?

I reckon all but the newest stuff should be distributed throughout the starmap, and the reason we're going to all those locations in the first place is to collect those parts.

One part per level, and then the Void could be freed up for the newest and rarest stuff.

forma's are so god dam common LOL what are you talking about XD

For me they drop once 5-6 T3 void runs. It is all dependable on random numbers, my skill or my team's dont have any value after holding 30 minutes of T3 survival. The last one I did was dropping only the ridiculous credit caches and frost helmets. I still start to abort those missions if I dont see any Formas in 15 minutes, since the keys are now rare.

Instead, my time goes to waste, the rage mods and R5 Fusion cores i found on that mission goes to trash. No  Key should be consumed on use. There is no guarantee that you'll get the shiny you want. I already lost like 150 plat from rare mods which i never got because of aborts. I could have bought the piece i wanted twice with those mods.

You could host it yourself and then choose to get the cores and mods. It's the host's key and you're just along for the ride.

I do actually. When i host i dont abort the mission.

There was a run which host decided to left on the 2. minute and another guy got disconnected somehow. It was only me and another guy who was left on that mission and im pretty sure he wasnt the one who's hosting it. We survived like 45 minutes then we decided to leave. It should be like this. If someone decides to leave, rest should be able to continue the mission.

Think about this a minute:

Host leaves, everyone else stays.

So:

1. You find a t3 survival key.

2. You create an alt account.

3. You give your t3 survival key to the alt account.

4. You, 2 friends, and your alt account go into your alt account's t3 survival.

5. You disconnect your alt account as soon as the game starts, so he keeps his t3 survival key.

6. You and your 2 friends continue to play and gather drops every 5 minutes.

7. When you're done, you exit as normal.

8. Go to step 4.

Infinite void access ftw!

That bit is fine and should have been added to the game already.

The problem currently is that the drop rates are abysmal - I wouldn't be surprised if rhino prime chassis, ankyros prime gauntlets, bronco prime receivers and akbronco prime links had a 0.5% chance of appearing. Very, very few people enjoy grinding through 2 layers of RNG repeatedly for a very small chance at getting the bit they want. Aborting/Alt-F4 after 20 minutes removes one layer of merciless grind, so why would those of us who already have 20 latron prime receivers and 40 forma blueprints *not* do it? Host disconnects are a symptom of a greater problem, the relationship being that of a fever to the common cold.

Fix the drop rates. Get rid of the ridiculous grind (such as the often-touted token system). Then we'll have no need to abort missions after seeing our thirty-seventh mag prime chassis.

Oh that would make things kinda ugly but i doubt anyone would go through that. And by making keys consumed upon starting the mission would work, brutally but work.

That bit and by adding recruitment channel into normal ingame chat would make things better. And if host decides to leave or alt F4 or whatever, rest should atleast keep their rewards by surviving like 50 minutes.

For example i got 3 Rage mods and like 20 R5FC's in 50 minute survival. Host ragequitted. What did i get for surviving 50 minutes? Nothing. It was atleast 45 plat, not that i need plat but still my efforts for doing the same boring thing for 50 minutes wasted. Hell playing games is a waste of time but playing it for nothing is even more flustrating.

I remember people saying 5k credit rewards are necessary and useful. I was screaming that day, those rewards are a direct insult to us but nobody gave a damn and some called me noob for asking DE to remove those 5k credit rewards. In the end Sheldon is thinking about it and prob. they 'll be removed from Survivals drop table.

I hope they'll see this post though. Some people defended them and see where they get us.

Okay, since this has derailed into the t3 survival whine, gotta ask: What would you replace the 5k credit bundles with?

If you respond "prime parts", you lose. That's an obvious no go.

If you respond: Cores or Rare Materials, people have raged about getting those, so it's ALSO a no go.

So, if you're not getting cores, rare mats, credit bundles, or prime parts, what are you getting for spending a mere 5 minutes?
