Datamass Lost In Mobile Defence Mission

I was soloing a mobile defence mission on Kappa and stood under a lowering platform (silly thing to do really). I was pushed down out of the map and fell into the void, watching the level shrink and disappear above me. I was then killed and revived myself only to find that the datamass was nowhere to be found and had no indicator in the HUD. I retraced my steps to the initial spawn point and even stood under the platform again and let myself be pushed out again. I was unable to locate the datamass and therefore could not complete the mission (I tried but had nothing to activate the console with). Had to abort the mission.
