Quick Weapon Question

I have the ability to build either the Acrid or the Embolist. If I had everything to build both, I would, but sadly, I am lacking in forma and mutagen masses. So there's my tossup.

 

Which would you suggest and why?

embolist should be the right choice on my opinion

Embolist excells at close range continuous damage, and is essentially a higher-damage and shorter range ignis.

 

Acrid used to be the be all end all of pistols before damage 2.0 rolled out, and now has fallen behind somewhat. I believe it has a very high chance to proc toxic; which is separate from it's usual status procs. I could be wrong though.

 

Honestly, I think the embolist is the more useful out of the two, but it's up to you. If you do choose the embolist, be prepared for a high ammo drain and have a longer-ranged primary if you don't want to be up close and personal all the time.

Personally I hate (almost) all continuous-fire weapons.  Regardless of which it is, it will remind of of the Spectra... ugh, useless laser-pointer gun.

 

So my recommendation is Acrid. Deals decent damage, very high toxic DoT chance.
