arch111 Posted March 26, 2014 Share Posted March 26, 2014 Hi everyone! Since Steve stated that End Game is the future(finally), and will be made up of two main things. 1.) Badlands. Sure, this is basically Clan War stuff, but it might open doors for DE to do more content and events to shape the story of the game. 2.) Proxy Wars. I guess we are the Proxies. This is the Quest System. New factions and Guilds will be introduced. These will act like Darvo, or Ruk or Lotus by posting missions in the mail. We can then accept missions and then gain reputation and membership in these new groups. This will essentially replace Events. Events take to much time from DE so they must have a dynamic and reusable Quest Editor. I guess this is Hubs and Proxy Wars ina nutshell. ****** This is no easy thing to do. We all know missions need variety, or boredom sets in. MMORPG suffers from this. There are however ways to do this right. A thread called CELLS has lots of ideas. A main one is a string of missions with a set goal and loot that a group plays together, a Quest. I want to know what you would like these quests to involve and include. The sky is the limit. Go nuts and wild. Give the designers a real challenge by giving them ideas of what to add as this system keeps growing. Pandoran_Stallion Posted March 26, 2014 Share Posted March 26, 2014 I want levels that require skills, such as a stealth, and special missions (ex: we have discovered a platoon of enemies somehow immune to warframe abilities. Eliminate them.) Also, I wouldn't mind exclusive cosmetics as long as they have a corresponding onein the other faction. Sixty5 Posted March 26, 2014 Share Posted March 26, 2014 Something that is replayable, and makes me want to play for reasons other than rewards. Say having interesting challenges that require you to do more than just sprint through a level. Also I'd kinda like to see alternate armour pieces that alter stats (since they are removing helmets). Stuff like a Bandolier that grants extra ammo capacity or a leg sheathe for daggers that gives a small buff to sneak attacks but increses the time it takes to pull it out. Kraizer Posted March 26, 2014 Share Posted March 26, 2014 My hope is that they don't entirely ditch these events/custom quests in favor of purely systemic/randomly generated quests and content. I still remember WoW...daily quests and rep farming gets boring really fast. Other example is Skyrim: Radiant Quests! Random generated quests that deliver huge/infinite amount of content to the game! AhziDahaka Posted March 26, 2014 Share Posted March 26, 2014 My hope is that there's some purpose in actually sticking with a faction instead of just joining one, getting the prizes, and then dumping them for another faction. For example, certain cosmetics should only be accessible while you're a member of that faction, and others only for extended service to a faction. That said, I also hope there's a way to get all weapons and mods possible from each faction despite that, not via trading but maybe through a double agency system or something... So basically, you'd join Faction A, and then on their behalf you could join Faction B to infiltrate it under an alias, moving up through its ranks while gleaming inside information to bring back to Faction A. Faction A could even give you orders to sabotage missions given to you by Faction B, or use gained security clearance to interrupt operations otherwise. Obviously, if Faction B starts to suspect you they may turn on you, perhaps even mid-mission in a trap, and being caught as a double agent would basically take your reputation with Faction B down to the lowest possible level. Gain Reputation and Status as a Tenno Assassin. Reach max rank, get awesome gear and mods. You would then be like a Class. Like Banshee Master Assassin. The Loot, cosmetics, Assassin Skin, Assassin weapons, mods etc would be a way to make the character unique, finally. Now, I hope that the Class will give bonuses and penalties, but allso missions. let me elaborate. A certain Cell including an Assassin, and a Bladesmaster would have an effect on RNG, and the Quest Parameters. This would really make players think before choosing a group.
