About The Incoming Quest System.....

I cant help but compare it to a MMO side-quest, in those quests we get items such as armor, weapons, xp, money or items... I have to wonder what those will give us in this game.

 

Resources? might be good for the new player but not so much for the veterans.

 

Exp? That is a given, again not so much for old players.

 

Credits? Same thing as the other 2.

 

Items? Might be Gear items, but if they give us such, they might probably be items we cant craft in the Foundry.

 

Weapons? Most weapons we have can be found in the Market or Clan Research, with exception of the the Prime weapons, so with DE adding a new faction, I hope they will add more factions as time goes on and we have to complete those quests to get that weapon or as the previous topic: Item(s).

 

Armor? we have the Warframes so..... nah, unless its something we put on top of our frames to help protect it, it will be visible, like the scarves..... I just imagined our frames using a equipment we have in Disgaea: Horse Weinner.

 

As for the Quests themselves..... I would hate for it to be something like a Farm feast were you have to go around the systems and get X of this resource, they should be more like a Raid mission in a place we have to retrive an artifact, or Exterminate an enemy type that you will find in the area surrounded by other "irrelevant to the quest" enemies but still a threat or something along those lines, and there a change to find items/parts that can only be found there, making exploration rewarding for all of us: Imagine finding a chest of something alike and Pink Orb brust out and you found the broken piece of a weapon that can be restored and re-used to replicate the complete weapon. It would not be complete RNG to find it, it would also require the player to explore, instead of relying ONLY on RNG to get it at the end of the mission.

To stop rushers, make enemies of the area tricky to fight, enemies that use hit and run tatics and you have stick with the team for best survivability and less frustration, but that would probably need something of an Open World environment..... and a better AI.

 

What do you guys think? Lets discuss.

 

TL;DR: There's not, I like to be throught with the ideas I have, you are already sitting down doing nothing but reading the forums, so go back up and READ.

Wait for it to be out before you start judging. We barely know anything about it.

Yeah it's a fine balance the devs have to maintain.  I don't want Warframe to become too much like an RPG, but I enjoy the RPG elements in this action/shooter game.

IMO we already have alerts, invasions, voids etc. I'm sure "Quest System" is just a name for it, and the devs have something in mind for it.

If anything, my guess is that the "Quest system" is how the player learns the main storyline of the game. Kind of like a story mode?

All up to speculation for now though. I'm going to be twiddling my thumbs waiting for Melee 8.0.

We can not really complaile about anything as we do not know what they have in stock but it is true that as a rank 14 with alredy all the wepons crafted I would not want to do any mission for ressources and xp dépends on the amout.

 

I would he higly interested in a new ressources like waht they did with oxidium that would allow to craft new EQ and maybe skins.
