Morec0
This just hit me, so this will be short: The reason for the interest in "balance" that has been expressed by the Lotus (and by comparison, the Tenno) is because if one force truly becomes dominant over the other than what you have is the creation of a Galactic Empire the likes of which could be connected to the Orokin. The Grineer call themselves an Empire, but given that they are struggling in a battle for territory against the Corpus they are NOTHING compared to what the Orokin were. Now, remember what the Orokin Empire did to the Tenno: took them as children, threw them into the Void, turned them into tools of war to fight the Sentients and robbed them of their innocence and youth. To the Tenno, perhaps, if any faction was able to gain and maintain that kind of domination the Orokin had they would do the same thing to a new generation - Void-knows how many innocents into twisted creatures for the sole purpose of fighting. THAT is why they are out to keep the balance between the Corpus and Grineer - to keep either from becoming the Orokin and doing what the Orokin were allowed to do. Any thoughts? immolator1001
I agree that the Grineer are no where near the power of the Orokin, but the Orokin only made the tenno as a last ditch effort against the Sentients. Maybe its not dominance we should try to prevent, but a faction becoming so weak they will commit atrocities to survive?

MeduSalem
I've a twisted view about why we should keep the balance: If one side would win the war they would eventually turn all their forces against us and we couldn't do anything else than annihilate them to secure our very own survival and then what? Peace, boredom and back to our Cryopods for the next thousand years...? While sleeping I won't get paid. I won't get my credits and potatoes. I won't get to kill anything. I won't get my greedy milk. I won't have it. Peace - Meh... just doesn't work for me. :> Edited March 26, 2014 by MeduSalem
