Renathy
The Excalibur proto-armor should've been our free gift from Warframe's anniversary.
HellEnforcer
I don't even have Excalibur...

BrotherIcarus
Why? Not everyone has Excalibur. Everyone can be given a free exclusive weapon with a slot and a potato. Edited March 26, 2014 by BrotherIcarus
c_man_ninja_gun
If that was the gift then people who didn't have/play excal would be kinda boned. But a new sidearm is something everyone can use and enjoy.
Sherbniz
It probably was ton of work to rig and port into this game... or even probably re-model from the ground up. They did a fantastic job and it's not a necassary thing, just cosmetics... really badass cosmetics! Those that want it can get it, it's not even that much plat. :) I think it's worth the purchase. They give us lots of free stuff all the time anyhow. ;) Edited March 26, 2014 by Sherbniz
FateZero
Nope, I rather have the weapon.

Haldos
It fits in with cosmetics costing platinum like the Immortal skins and Syandanas. I don't see much of an issue with it, especially when a weapon is being given out for free. Every player gets an anniversery prize whether they spend money or not. Renathy
Why? Not everyone has Excalibur. Everyone can be given a free exclusive weapon with a slot and a potato. Excalibur with the skin, potato and slot. Problem solved, like any other cosmetic skins ever released. Edited March 26, 2014 by JRMC
Archistopheles
The Excalibur proto-armor should've been our free gift from Warframe's anniversary. Considering the number of "Dex Afuris needs a buff to be worth it" threads this avoided, I'm going home and buying the skin.
BrotherIcarus
Excalibur with the skin, potato and slot. Problem solved, like any other cosmetic skins ever released. That is needlessly more complicated than just giving a new weapon. Look just stop being salty that the skin you want requires you to trade for some plat you have a week you will get the skin that you want.
JHarlequin
I am okay with it not being a free gift. It should be something challenging or rare. So maybe lots of credits, or have to do a special lotus mission that is the most vicious mission around. But it shouldn't be 10 dollars. Support is one thing, but not everyone uses excal and probably won't go back to him. There probably should have been several methods to get it including cash, and even with those options the cash should have still been much lower priced. Maybe proto skins for quite a few frames in a skin pack for 10 bucks. But not for one frame alone ever, and especially not overpriced. I already bought the skin, that's not the point, and it's not complicated, at all. Look back on the IAHGames skin. Free Braton, with potato, slot and the skin itself. I don't know where the trouble is. Edited March 26, 2014 by JRMC
Seraiya.Gier
Now you too can be like the legendary Hayden Tenno! By equipping this Proto Armor, your armor and shields will be hidden from you, aiming will be terrible, you lose the ability to wall run. On the bright side, you can use all of Hayden's near lack luster abilities! What's that, your usually hit scan weapon with almost pin point accuracy deviates far to the right and left? Part of the suit! Relive the nostalgia!

Renathy
I just hope we'll see that Proto thing skin for other warframes. Not likely but still.. I would like that too. Image how good they would appear, and maybe even additional lore about 'em.
