Simple postin interval would help. It can be even 30 seconds between posts/topics. I doubt, that anybody is posting that fast.

A 30 second topic interval is cool. A 30 second post interval would get in my way.

15 Seconds should be sufficient. Bulletin Boards that have timers between these actions get get in the way at times. flood control is a good idea, but i've always seen it go overboard and just make people need to wait before pressing accept.

it's even more of a problem if you don't have a reason to be typing a very long message and you are a fast typer.

Edit:

even worse still, if a message rejected due to flood control doesn't save the text you entered. that would be infuriating.

The other day I created a thread with the exact same name as someone else because they were asking a question in a PS4 thread.

Since us PC players cannot post to a PS4 thread to help out players on PS4, my only option was to create a duplicate thread in Players Helping Players to answer their question.

Maybe Moderators can move generic questions out of the PS4 forum area to the general area or is the game that different on the PS4 that DE does not want PC players answering PS4 players' questions?

I've been on forums before with an interval between each post. The only times when it's gotten in the way for me is when there are a lot of threads that I'm taking part in that have all had updates recently, but otherwise you'll never notice it's there. A one minute timer would probably be the ideal length of time.
