As the name suggests, I personally would love to see some long-term global research goals in the dojo. Specifically in the Tenno lab, but all of them could have something.

 

This could in theory become a replacement to the current Tenno Reinforcement updates, since this would literally be for Tenno, by Tenno. And your writers get to be lazy and just say "Yep, you guys researched that."... Instead of trying to explain who thought the castanas were a good idea and why Lotus (presumably) approved them.

 

The Tenno lab, all labs or whichever lab's faction gets a new shiny for Tenno to purchase/use in that particular update would have a new repeatable research project (could simply be called "Tenno Reinforcement Research"), which, like all projects, scales in cost according to clan type. A total, global number of completions must be completed in order for the blueprint to be available to everyone in a clan that completes the blueprint research.

 

Research projects that are in progress or partially funded should carry over to the next update's even if they don't use the same resources, otherwise research started slightly late would be wasted, and partially funded projects would be wasted as well.

 

Once the global project is finished the related item(s)'s blueprints would then be available for research in the clan dojo (ha, thought you had enough after repeating the global research four times didn't you) and ultimately purchase. Platinum purchases should be unaffected and the item(s) should still be available with the update that adds the global research. After all, why even bother trying to buy it for platinum if you can't even skip the research requirements like you can now?
