ShiningArmor
I just ran a mission with a friend to go kill Ruk, and then he crashes, and it does host migration. What happens when he crashes and I become host? Well apparently the map decides to spawn 3 arc traps to try to murder me with. I survive and move on, only to encounter 3 more arc traps spread out so I can't see them. Beat them, down to 17 health. Next room, 4 Grineer. I can take em. So I rush in, and what do I see? Another arc trap which immediately finishes me off. So I have to say that arc traps are just ruining my life. -cries in a corner-
Casardis
I think the traps themselves are fine now in terms of how much damage it does. Problems still happens in terms of RNG spawn, placement and sometimes range though.
KimchiKen_Prime
they seem to spawn on control consoles a lot, so when someone does a lock down and i run towards the panel, BANG!
Revenant102
I took the time to go stand in some arc traps today to work out the range they have, and it really is pretty insane the reach they've got. My Saryn seems ultimately uninterested in the fact she's being electrocuted, but as you can see I'm getting hit from quite a ways away. I'd say that as they stand they're pretty good as a trap, but they need refinements to spawn logic and a dent put in their range, because 2 of these things could lock down most of the galleon tiles with regards to low level frames. That's my 2 cents anyway.
Pain_LT3
i think they should be removed, they ruin the game by instantly killing you and failing your mission, im avoiding grineer tile sets like plague after grineer lights and later arc traps were implemented. Revenant102
The arcs are doing DoT, they shouldn't be instantly killing you unless you hit one with no shields, little health, and under the effect of a slow aura... What's happening that they instant kill you?
Pain_LT3
Well i have been doing grineer survival nightmare alert with loki, i was runing invisible with 225 health (i havent moded health because loki doesnt need one while invisible) and when i enter next room to take life suppot *bam* im dead because arc trap hit me. Revenant102
Alright, having just recently 30'd my Loki I can feel your pain there; though I'd think that Loki would give you enough time to run out of the kill zone. If they didn't detect concealed frames it'd be really nice. If you're stuck in the kill zone because you hit the capsule I can absolutely see getting dropped by them. Pain_LT3
Yes, with my frost and rhino its fine it ticles a bit and i shoot it, but with loki it just murders me. btw in that mission i had 0 shield because it was nightmare mode and i allready have had taken a hit so i werent full hp wich is 225, so i just ran in to a room and got instantly killed by it. Revenant102
Yeah, that would do it, my Loki's general purpose build doesn't hold up well against the arc's either.
