Will We Ever Get A Friendly Grineer?

I'm all for a friendly Grineer.  Hopefully it's a female that wants to overthrow the twin queens or something.  Maybe a scientist or rebel leader that is against the meaningless expansion of the Grineer empire and senseless deaths of cloned brethren.  Someone who realizes that further cloning will result in complete degeneration of the Grineer one day.

...and there's this problem with the OP:

We still our have guns and so long as we do we will assure our freedom, btw we don't live on top of a massive volcano.

Yes and no.  I'd love to continue this conversation with you about guns/gun control, possible/upcoming "big govt." style regulation of firearms clashing with our constitutional rights, (I'm united states of 'murican too) but it would be off topic.

I was poking fun at the op before with that proud eagle meme.  No harm meant, and I'm happy to be from the USA as well...  at least for now...  ;)

The Grineer just don't care. They're xenophobic zealots that believe in supremacy and domination. It's probably hard-wired into their genes. And in a society that births you over and over and over, it's probably not a good idea to say no to them. Besides, Grineer are falling apart at the seams. A friendly Grineer is basically saying goodbye to life support.

What you mean we can't be friends?

Ever heard of Mount St. Helens?

They are made to be the way they are.

What you want is a grineer, that is not made like a grineer.

I dont see anything like that happen....

Yes, but all things biological are prone to genetic mutation, and as numbers increase the mutations happen more often.  There's no denying that out of the billions of clones (maybe more?) that a few could be "defective" and thus exhibit the proper traits to be that "Tenno Friendly" Grineer.

And you actually think that grineer who disobey their leaders will get a chance to survive?

I mean come on. The cloning process might create tumors, mutations whatever. But the grineer would kill every "non grineer" thinking before it ever gets close to escape. They get trained to kill. And every non efficent trooper would be dead before even going on a mission.

So there is little to no chance that something like this will ever exist. And even if thats so. Grineer have a small lifetime because of their cell destruction. A friendly grineer wouldnt even be useable since he would waste away in weeks....

Yeah, something like personal awareness may happen like this video.

I will have you know I have a LOT of Grineer friends. They try to share their bullets with me, I share mine with them. And occasionally I let them see my Orthos up close by repeatedly shoving the blade into their chest for better viewing. Honestly, it's like living in Future Detroit. And then some days I play Robocop with my Corpus friends by blowing up their giant ED-209-esque toy.

Remember..  Billions...  a sample from billions.  The mutations you mention are detrimental, and you have to understand that mutations are not always detrimental.  There are positive ones.

Yes your points are 100% valid, but we're discussing theoretical possibilities.  There's no denying that a Grineer could reach a different level of awareness beyond their programming and become that "Tenno Friendly" Grineer.  They don't need to reach that awareness early on.  It could be later.  Any smart rebel knows to hide their true ideals.

Why are there different bosses?  Why the Grustrag 3?  They're certainly not the usual cloned grunts that are the brunt of the Grineer army.

Again, this is a discussion thread where we're just talking about the possibilities, you're right in that it's highly unlikely, but I'm also right in that out of billions there could be one.

Story wise, there are always these "grey area" agents, and I see the concept of having a friendly Grineer to be an excellent one.

ok you got me.

it´s just that this would weaken their "all hail the grineer"  attitude. I mean. They are perfect warriors. Without fear. Without sympathy. It just seems wrong if they become this kind of your friendly soldier from the neighbourhood, you know what i mean?

Probably not since they are all clones and their brains have degraded significantly. They all follow the same " code " so breaking out of that code would be extremely hard and rare, which is why we don't see any other type of Grineer than soldiers wheres we know that Corpus are allowed to live in a free society. However, one of their slaves could be a potential friendly NPC so who knows.

The difficulty with this is, while the Corpus setup as merchant and capitalists works for Darvo to strike out on his own to make a buck, the Grineer fascist(communist?) military design keeps everyone in a particular line and together. IF we were to have a Grineer ally, I hink they would have to be associated with some larger group.

Enter Proxy Wars and a Tenno-supporting Rebel Grineer Faction? Dunno what he/she could do outside of that, but it's a thought.

Fascism and Communism are polar opposites. Just saying.

I mean we have Darvo.....

I know the grineer are clones but isn't there at least one who'd go Boba fett on the grineer empire and join our cause (whatever that may be)?

Edit :

Oh and also :

Eagle status yaaaaay

What are you talking about?

Yes. you're absolutely right.  It wouldn't be a grunt soldier.  More like a mid ranking officer with their own vendetta.  Think Kela de Thaym level, etc.
