Somedude1000
So far I've personally loved the new Helios. I absolutely have no problem with it. However, mot other players seem to have noticed some key aspects of it that could be better. Every pro has an equal and opposite con, so Ill just list a few things that most players seem to have qualms about. 1 Codex Scanner Pros > a unique ability handy for anyone who hasn't started their codex yet. > an alternative to lazily fill your codex. > Occasionally scans targets while we run around (happened twice to me) > Reduces need to pull out a codex scanner and waste time when we could be shooting things Cons + Solutions of my own :P > requires players to get close to enemies, at which point the melee function tends to activate, this results in the situation where Helios seems conflicted on whether to scan or hit the target (Sol : allow players to assign a button to quick scan enemies) > Slow scan time > even when stealthed, this sentinel takes an unnecessarily long time to scan enemies (Sol : allow for faster scan time for each level of Investigator mod, as opposed to increased range) > Often scans targets whose codex entries are already complete (Sol : Once again an assignable button to quick scan would be advisable / a link between the sentinels scanner and the codex would be impossible to code right?) > > Scans run out quickly (Sol : perhaps a separate scanner just for Helios?) (some players counter all of these by using Vaubans' Bastille, but then again hes not suitable to bring on every mission*) 2 Deconstructor Pros > Targeting Receptor Launches up to 3 glaives at rank 5 > Decent status chance > Close range attacks meaning you can shoot further targets without worrying about enemies getting too close unscathed > Using whirlwind ill make it uber quick at headshots Cons > Uses glaive mods, meaning we may need 2 of each > Will not benefit from melee 2.0 as far as we know > misses crouching enemies ( I normally just crouch when enemies do, solving the problem, but not sure this works) > Helios seems to be picky on which enemies to scan and which enemies get a spinning knife in their face Well that's all I could gather from or community. Tally Ho chaps.

RyojinOrion
> Slow scan time > even when stealthed, this sentinel takes an unnecessarily long time to scan enemies (Sol : allow for faster scan time for each level of Investigator mod, as opposed to increased range) This right here seems to be the biggest issue, as far as I have personally read, although that has admittedly not been much. It is certainly part of the reason I haven't jumped on the Helios yet.
Evers
Right now the Scan is useless, atleast for me. Since i use Helios it scanned 5 or 6 enemys for me. Yesterday i was shooting at a lonly lvl 30 bombardier with the unranked/unmodded dexfuris and helios scanned him just a milisec before i killed him (which took me alot of time actually cause of the unranked weapon). So if you play with modded weapons the enemys are down way faster then helios is abel to scan them.
VKhaun
Impossible for me to say right now. The current skills could be made blatantly overpowered and I would still never bring Helios over Carrier. Until Vacuum is an all-sentinel skill or we have some other way to get loot pickup radius, like a warframe mod or an aura that gives +X Range to everyone on the team, I can't see myself using Helios, ever. If Carrier wasn't unique right now, I'd probably pick Helios out of the others if that says anything. I like seeing the enemies in orange through the terrain because I always use punch-through mods. It's neat to be playing and randomly get a free kill shooting through a floor or something. Happens way too infrequently to really count on it and it's just novelty right now, but it's novel enough that I'd use it if I could still have Vacuum. -CM-Trives
Helios should scan faster, Helios should only scan things not in your codex. I'm not sure what millennium this game takes place in, but it's not precisely rocket science for the Helios to check his database before scanning and say, "Do I have all I need on this bugger?" The scans need to be if not lightning fast, pretty darn quick. Things don't live long in this universe :)
