Warframe Nexus App: To Enhance The Game Experience And Beyond!

Before the App was somewhat usefull while it showed the alert and could alert you like if it was a message, sure it was more like "YOU JUST MISSED THIS" rather than actually been in time but it was the right route. Now it incorporates the codex and its not really a bad idea but its badly implemented. On top of that the problema whit the alerts is actually worst.

 

So to make the Codex interresting i think it should work differently.

 

1- Drone Control: Allow us to have more than 1 drone at a time, maybe still limited to mastery but 4 is not really that much, especially whit the badlands idea coming. Now give us the ability to send those extractor drones through the App so by the time we get to play (if we are at work) we can still keep mining resources and taking care of our drones.

 

2- Access to the foundry: Whit the ability to control ouor drones we could manage the foundry to craft weapons or warframes through the App, wich is pretty handy.

 

3- Responding an alert: SOmething i have seen a few times recently and its actually a pretty good idea. This is how it Works: The App indicates that finally an alert whit Vauban's systems popped up BUT YOUR AT WORK! what you gonna do? in the App will be a "respond" button and when you respond to an alert it will increase the time of that alert by a set amount but only for you. Maybe from 40 mins to 80 mins or more, of course this can only be done once very day/week or by using "tokens" you earn maybe every day you log in?

This will help people looking for those extremely hard to get alerts whit incredible rewards (Vauban's parts, Energy Siphon, Helmet BP) without them having to sit all day in front of their computer whit their thump up their &#! CAUSE APPARENTLY YOU NEED TO NOT HAVE A LIFE TO GET THE FREAKING PARTS OF VAUBAN! ahem... sorry about that.

Anyways whit this you will still need to get into the game and play the misión to get the reward but by extending the time of the alert through the App will encourage the players to use the App, to stay alert for the alerts and to use their "tokens" wisely only on alerts that matter, like Vauban parts. Of course this will only work on "normal" alerts and not in things like Invations or event spesific alerts since they already last about a day or more.

 

4- Newsfeed: Do i have to explain? i dont think so. Just new from the main page directly through your phone.

 

5- Hacking minigame and equipment management? I saw someone recomending it a LOOOOONG while ago and it would be pretty sweet. Diferent dificulties and maybe Affinity and/or credit rewards for complete it. It would help newcomers to train their hacking skills and encourage them to practice whit it even if they just want the rewards.

Im not saying much maybe 50-100 on easier dificulties and going all out about 1000 in the hardest ones.

IF we can get affinity through the hacking minigames why not giving us Access to our equipment and choose where we want to spend the afinity. Kinda like Go4d of War we choose where to spend our Affinity on. And about the credit gain why not also include the market so we can buy that sexy new weapon BP whit the credits or using plat for that incredible Skin just came out. All through your pone/mobile device.

 

5- Clan research support? Since we are talking about managing equipment and gaining/using the credits through the App might as well add the ability to support your clan's researches throough the App. You will be managing the drones and the resources they collect, just finished that hardcore hacking miningame and got alot of credits for it adn when you check how your clan is doing you get notified that they are working on a new badass weapon that just appeared in the Tenno research lab, and they just need a bit more Rubedo and credits. So as a good member of your clan you pour some of those credits and Rubedo and start the research. All through your App.

This one is a bit tricky and i think this part should be shown as an overhead view of the clan map and maybe on a side notifications of the activities and researches they are working on.

 

Of course for all this to work the App will need a facelift, maybe something like the sansumg App store. The main page whit newsfeeds and diferent sections on a side page allowing you to choose where to go next.

 

This all i got so far, i do this in order to make the App interresting and to actually make it part of the game, to complement it rather than just be something on a side that you may not need. Sure you can still play without ever using the App but while using you can enhance your experience.

 

If you guys support my idea, have ideas on your own or may suggest something that wasnt right whit my ideas just leave a comment and lets discuss how to make the App something usefull!

They said they're planning these already, they just haven't gotten round to them yet

Wardroid already has this, and my app (Warframe Utility) will soon have a mobile version of the forums

Already suggested, and I imagine that they plan to implement it at some point

Pretty much everything that doesn't involve linking your device to the game itself has already been done in a 3rd party app, so you should replace Warframe Nexus with 1 (or more of those), in my opinion

And with regards to the connected stuff - it'll arrive, eventually (trust me, I've been asking after it for around half a year now...)

ezard's WARFRAME UTILITY app is mostly everything you described. Some functionality is missing because of lack of permission from DE into your account, but other than that, one of the most well rounded apps for the game and best dmg mod calc. in the business

My app still has code for foundry/drone/clan management stuff (which isn't active), but reiterating the point, features that require an account to be linked will likely only come with Warframe Nexus in the future. (because localization is a *@##$)
