Relationship Between Warframe And Dark Sector?

First DE tells us they are in the same universe.

Then DE tells us warframe is only a 'spiritual' successor.

Eventually DE admits they haven't made up their mind yet.

Now we get a skin that looks like no other than Hayden Tenno.

So, DE, I have a couple questions:

Can we have an official statement? Have you made up your mind?

Is Dark Sector truly canon to warframe or is this more like an Easter Egg?

If you take a look at this week's Tenno Reinforcements message you'll see:

"EXCALIBUR PROTO-ARMOR SKIN - Also, marking this special occasion, the Excalibur Proto-Armor Skin has been unearthed. Available for a limited time only, this ancient skin is a reflection of Tenno past. Discovering the precise nature of this recently uncovered armored prototype has proved elusive. Initial attempts at dating the relic, point to ancient origins, perhaps even pre-dating the Orokin Empire. Visit the Market and add this Limited Time Skin to your Arsenal today. Available now through 11:59pm EDT, April 2nd."

So there you have it...  Current age of man (assuming Dark Sector happens in the present) pre-dates the Orokin Empire.

Yes we are the Ancient ancestors of the Warframe universe.  Warframe is happening in the far distant future, possibly thousands of years from now.

I wonder who was the first person to be cloned as a Grineer...

Indeed.  This is becoming more and more of an 'on the nose' thing versus outright speculation.  :3  There are also wiki entries for both Dark Sector, as well as Warframe, and enough people spending -ALOT- of time piecing evidence / theory-work together to outline the most probable framework (heh) of the canon.

We're probably pretty good looking men and ladies in our warframe suits, all through one reason or another, carrying the same genes(?) as what enabled Hayden Tenno to not go insane / defective from the original technocyte virus and become the 'proto-excalibur' warframe thing by the end of that arc.  Sorry...we're not meatwads driving peoplesuits.  :3  Worth a good read.

Agreed...  IANOBW are you slamming good or slamming bad?  lol.

Depends... its a sweet release from the stupidity of this thread, but it also hurts and makes me look just as dumb.

I suppose what I'm trying to express is that I just wish people would just take the info at face value for once, instead of trying to delve into silly speculations (and in turn, wasting their time).
