Spliffy_McGee
A Tenno-designed weapon based off of ancient designs, with a twist. The bolts can be triggered at any time to blast nearby enemies. The Crossbow would use Sniper Ammo, and would have a clip size of only 1, making it excellent for Charged/Primed Chamber. It has flight speed and slight drop, akin to a fully charged bow shot. The arrow itself deals mainly puncture damage, and has innate punch-through akin to a fully charged bow.The explosion deals equal Blast and Radiation damage, and is best used when the arrow is in the middle of a group of enemies.A Tenno can have up to five unexploded Arrows on the field at one time. In this case, any additional arrows fired will cause the oldest arrow to explode. Be wary and keep track of unexploded arrows. Alternatively, it could work so that only one unexploded arrow can be on the field at any time, meaning that each time you fire a shot, the one before it explodes (if you didn't explode it manually) allowing you to keep a steadier rate of fire.Arrow damage:155 Puncture30 SlashExplosion damage:150 Blast150 Radiation10m explosion radius If anyone wants to draw a concept for this, feel free to! Spliffy_McGee
a penta crossbow? would they stick to the place where they hit instead of penta's grenades bouncing? Essentially, yes. It can still impale enemies to walls and such, but then you can blow em up. This is SO OP! 225 as BASE DAMAGE? What the hek? Subject to change :)
nintega
They're already working on a crossbow. And no, I don't think it'll be explosive. Your idea sounds really imbalanced anyways.
R3leaZ
I honestly don't want an explosive crossbow. I want those things to stay solid while I hold them :U

Ammolds
Maybe a crossbow mod instead, that works kind of like http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Thunderbolt, but maybe has the added effect of sticking to what it hits if it's an explosive shot for a second or 2 instead of exploding on impact. That could leave to funny/interesting moments where... you, maybe are stealthing and charge-shot kill a grineer, sending him flying towards another group of grineer and thanks to the delay you're basically sending that other group an explosive present. However for that it would have to maybe... affect only charged shots (this bit is with http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Ballistica in mind). For balance... well, the explosions would hurt you ofc, so if you shoot it in a high level Scorpions face, but she lives and runs up to you, you'd have to dodge or take her out before she gets up-close. Maybe even make it so that the impact damage of the charge shot is reduced while the mod is equipped and the explosion could be a mix of blast and shrapnel (slash/puncture?) ...I think I contradicted/nerfed my starting ideas a bit too much in the end. Point being. In my opinion a mod would be better, over a single crossbow that has explosive shots. EDIT: grammar (I think I created a new word there...) Drunken_Child
Those are high base stats, also ballistica.
