As I already said, I think this is a separate topic from flat out hype. It deserves a bit of thinking and input from the community and not being lost in a megathread.

I'd like them to release it when it's 99% ready, and then hotfix as normal.

 

I'd settle for 90% but really I think they should release it when they are comfortable doing so and then hotfix as normal.

@OP: Maybe you are forgetting about 1 thing or maybe 3. What about 12.7, 12.8 and 12.9? We will probably see them before we get U13 and that is 3,5 weeks away.

Since there are 6 monitors, one being a video, it would be cool if each passing day had a Melee 2.0 thing in it. 5 monitors left, 5 days till Wednesday.

We don't need to see the number go up to 10 to get a major update. We already had 2 occurrences of major updates happening after X.8, and some even before that.

Not to mention, for update 12, one of the weekly updates didn't advance it up the next minor number, so we could have been on 12.7 right now.

These builds work as follows: if there was an update after 12.9 it wouldn't be 13, actually. It would be 12.10. And then 12.11 and 12.12 and so on. Builds aren't decimals, they're a system made to measure how many times something has been patched or updated.

As some one already said they don't adhere rigidly to a ten sub points system.

 

you can look up the history but I think it was 9 had like 9.11 and 7 was like 7.6.  so where they are is no indicator of whether they will release the next full point so long as it's ~.5 or higher.   we've not seen full point updates two months in a row.

Who cares about Melee 2.0 anyways? What we need is another solar system, new levels/planets, new tile sets and enemies, new game types (Badlands will atleast be one), being able to level higher than 15/16, T4 Keys. In other words : Stuff to achieve and not run through the old maps for the 1000th time trying to melee when in the end it will still be best to let the Penta do the talking. (Ok if Melee 2.0 is epic i'll take it all back, but we still need more content)

U13 will have more than melee 2.0 ya know. And I think it's just around the corner, either today or Wednesday.

6 screens, went up on Thursday. Every day a new screen gets unlocked;

1st = Friday

2nd = Saturday

3rd = Sunday

4th = Monday

5th = Tuesday

6th = Wednesday... UPDATE DAY.

That's probably the most accurate confirmation we can get on this. Posted in the megathread though, where I would have normally missed something like that...

Anyways, this topic can be closed peacefully now. L13 is a pretty viable source of info. Usually.

Before the next one pops up, I'm going to extend the possibilities that either they will update every few hours, leading to a Friday update reveal (Friday updates have happened before), or they update per day, leading to next Wednesday.

A Friday update would be awesome because then DE keeps their promise of a March release.

A Wednesday update keeps to schedule and gives them a bit more time to tweak stuff out (and more time to tease).

So before today is over and my hypothesises are debunked, that's what I think! Either way I'm excited that Melee 2.0 isn't just in the "Half Life 3" stage anymore and is being actively shown off and teased and whatnot. :D

No it is not in need of a new thread. Please stop driving the hype and take a few seconds to think.

If you have been playing warframe for a while you will know that DE used to release patches on Fridays and live streams used to be on Wednesdays.

De swapped this around because it made more sense to their work schedule. Friday updates meant de had to come I at weekends to make hot fixes. Releasing new content on Wednesday meant that they could Thursday and Friday, actually work days, on hot fix issues.

Melee 2.0 will be a big update with loads of stuff. It will probably get a hot fix with hours of going live.

I would bet the farm that de will not release tonight. The timing on the new Grineer stuff is perfect for a Wednesday update.

So this whole thread serves no purpose. Please just post with everyone else in the mega thread. Speculation about a topic is the same as the topic.

Also, I'm not driving for hype. I was attempting to bring minds together so that we could speculate what the next step of the plan was. There's a difference between throwing a party and wondering when the next party starts.
