RaiZu Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 So am I the only one that noticed excalibur got the short end of the stick again in the Update 13 teaser cinematic? All the other frames are doing some neat moves and he's just like: "Oh, didn't see you there, you may have noticed I'm wearing a sword."
Katakuna Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 He looks the most noble. "I don't need to show off with fancy moves. I already know I'm a badass."
JohnProdman Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 He shouldn't have even been in the video, considering a large part of it's intended purpose was to showcase cloth physics.

Haldos Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I think Katakuna has the right idea of what they were going for with Excalibur. He's supposed to act more refined and focused, which is accentuated even more so when you compare his stance to the more animated frames before him.
AscendantWyvern Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Let me start by saying: HE'S GOT A F***ING KATANA! Now I'm personally a fan of the Wakisashi, I'm pretty sure that alone is worth the scene, and the most worth Excalibur.
Arunafeltz Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Aside from Trinity's sexy tail, Excalibur must have been the one that caused the most arousal
Un1337ninj4 Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 (edited) He shouldn't have even been in the video, considering a large part of it's intended purpose was to showcase cloth physics. Holy S#&$ how did I not notice Trinity! I'm all for this new lack of total lobstah. Edited March 28, 2014 by un1337ninj4
BrotherIcarus Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Yes he is being left out that is why he is on the cover.
Haldos Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Holy S#&$ how did I not notice Trinity! I'm all for this new lack of total lobstah. Don't worry, it's still there. It's just hidden until she turns and strikes a pose.

He's supposed to act more refined and focused, which is accentuated even more so when you compare his stance to the more animated frames before him. After all, the weapon he was wielding is most often associated with the Samurai and their Bushido code. "Calm and collected" follows naturally.
HK-A6A7 Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Screwed? He was the only one holding a goddamn katana and not making fancy Power Rangers moves.
BizarreFetalChimpanzee Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Despite my indifference towards the Katana, I don't see how Excalibro is getting the short end of the stick, considering he's holding that.
Somedude1000 Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Excalibur is supposed to show swordsmanship hence being named after the most well known sword of all time. Having him bounce around with that katana wouldn't be showing his finesse.
Virtus_Dei_Est Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 excalibro is the only one using the most hyped new weapon in warframe story, yeah, i felt no love for him in that trailer. come on....
Dogoframe Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 Excalibur got the short end of the stick when Alad V killed him. The ghost in the cinematic is happy to swing his sword from the afterlife.
